Romantic Deals

We all love going on romantic getaways with our loved ones - just the two of you, spending time together, not worrying about anything other than what fun activity to do that evening. These trips can be the highlight of your year, and finding the good romantic deals just makes it that much sweeter!

A couple of pointers about planning your own romantic getaways:

Most important is to keep in mind why this romantic trip will be so much fun - it's the two of you, together! Where you go will not weigh as heavy as making sure the two of you stay happy together.

With that in mind, think back to some shared activities that you both enjoyed. It doesn't have to be anything fancy - maybe it was cooking a dinner together, relaxing by the pool, or just taking a nice evening stroll.

You know your loved one the best - what will allow you to have quality time together doing something fun? From there you can look at some promotions online to see what the current deals are. If you have a general idea of where you'd like to go you can narrow it down by price later on.

This flexibility will let you get the best deal based on current promotions. Getting the best romantic deals could involve booking travel within 2 or 3 weeks before you go. Last minute deals are always the best value - we've gotten extra nights in hotels, and flights at up to 60% discount by being able to go on a week's notice.

With an open mind to where you can go, and an idea of what sounds appealing to you two as a couple, start looking at the online travel sites. We've booked with Orbitz before, and Travelocity can offer the best romantic deals for you.

My Money Saving Tips to Find the Best Romantic Deals

1. Be willing to explore new areas of the world, even places you normally wouldn't consider. You can truly have an amazing time anywhere with the right attitude and travel companion.

2. If the price isn't as good as possible right now, try again later in the year. Going in an off season can automatically cut costs by 40 or 50%, and you'll have less people around.

3. Bundle, bundle, bundle! With the right package, you can sometimes get car or hotel basically thrown in for free. If not, see if the package has event admission or other perks (spa pass, VIP tour, etc)

4. Focus on spending quality time together. It's free. Sometimes eating a food you bought together at the public park, just lazily passing the hours, is more fun than a $100 dinner bill.

5. Have fun :)

The most memorable romantic deals are a combination of: flexibility, timing, and remembering to spend quality time with your loved one.
