Rose Quartz is a member of the Quartz family which includes amethyst, ametrine, citrine, milky quartz, smoky quartz and rock crystal. This stone is found in various shades of pink to rosy red. This stone is also referred to as Pink Quartz and Rosy Quartz. This stone sometimes display a star effect of asterism which makes the stone even more attractive. The color of this stone is believed to be as a result of the iron, manganese, aluminum, phosphate and titanium impurities present in the stone. But a recent study has shown through X-ray diffraction that the color may be due to thin microscopic fibers in the stone.Rose quartz is used as an ornamental stone and as a healing gemstone. It is used to make jewelry, idols, spheres, pyramids, figurines and statues. The best rose quartz is available in Brazil. It is also found in Madagascar, India, South Africa, Japan, Germany and the US.

From ancient times Rose Quartz is considered as a symbol of love and beauty. This stone is often referred to as the ‘Stone of unconditional love’ and friendship. This stone is associated with the zodiac signs of Taurus and Libra. It is also the birthstone for the month of January along with the Gemstone Garnet. Rose quartz is the most powerful for dealing with affairs of the heart and opens the heart and Crown Chakra. Keeping this stone by the bed or relationship corner brings in harmony and peace in family. This is a strong healing stone and is used for treating Depression, infertility, skin problems, weight loss and problems of the Kidneys, liver, heart and lungs. The rose quartz is also good for helping one to release childhood traumas, negative influences, neglect, and lack of love, self-esteem and self love. This stone also promotes self love, self esteem, compassion, forgiveness and self confidence and brings peace and harmony within oneself. Rose Quartz crystals may fade if exposed to prolonged sunlight. Like most gemstones it is also prone to crack or chip rather easily and thereby should be handled with care.

Your article on Gem stones is quite appreciable, but I have a doubt that only the particular has to be worn or whether keeping any article of the very same in ones pocket will yield the same result as that of stone
