Friday night two guests on Larry King Live confirmed a UFO crashed 62 years ago in Roswell, New Mexico. They also say the U.S. Government has related documents proving the incident and existence of life on board.

Friday night Jan Rooney, wife of beloved Mickey Rooney revealed on Larry King Live that her father "Red" had told her of the existence of documents with the government concerning an actual UFO that crash landed at Roswell, New Mexico. At the time he was in the Army and had Top Secret classification. She said that before his death her father told her the US Government would never release the information in her life time. He said it was because, at that time, the government was afraid of mass hysteria. Once classified the bureaucracy to declassify is extremely onerous to complete. In any case no succeeding administration has wanted to take the decision to make the information public.

Don Schmidt, a private person working to get the government to release the still classified information said there was no reason now for the documents to be kept classified. He said it was understandable at that time because the Cold War was just beginning. Also at that time it was not yet believed that space travel was possible. Now, however we know that space travel is indeed possible, that new planets are discovered frequently, and that evidence shows there is water, in the form of ice on Mars. Mr. Schmidt reports that there is a growing contingent in the US Military that is pushing for release of the documents by reclassifying them.

Franky Green was on the same show Friday night. She reports her father gave a death bed confession that Roswell did happen. He was stationed at Roswell as a fireman. He was called out to the crash site but they were removed from the site by the military intelligence staff. On his deathbed her father told her that he saw the craft and debris immediately after the crash, and a living being about the size of a 10 year old. Until his death bed he had never told anyone but on his death bed he wanted to release the facts to the world. She reports at the time her father and others were told they were warned not to say anything other than the support the second press release. The second press release that day reported that a weather balloon had crashed in Roswell.

Both men, in their time were respected and not proponents of UFO. Both daughters are 100% sure their fathers would not have said such things, independent of each other on or just before their death. The two men did not know each other.

Ms. Rooney feels the government must release the information because the longer they wait the worse the government will appear for having withheld the information for so long.

One guest who does not believe there was a UFO, says the crash was a top secret Skyhook balloon that was being tested. It was for listening for sounds of Soviet nuclear testing. It was not a weather balloon but a balloon of another type.

The guests on the Larry King show say the story of a balloon is bunk because the government would have known something was missing and they would have been looking for it. But in the case of the Roswell case it was the public, a rancher that found the crash and reported it to the airbase.

On the second half of the show, Larry had a distinguished guest on the show. Dr. Edgar Mitchell, a U.S. astronaut and the sixth man to walk on the moon met the witnesses. He reported there stories are the same as other witnesses from the base have reported to him in the past. He felt that, having lived in the area; quite a few witnesses had come to him to report their feelings before their death.

In other word multiple persons had reported to him, because he was an astronaut. Dr. Mitchell, after hearing these reports has been to the Pentagon and asked for access to the documents. He says the Pentagon told him the persons who did the cover up had been found but that no plans made to release the information.

On the show Dr. Mitchell and the guest protagonist got into a lively argument. Dr. Mitchell told him he had not come on the show to argue but only to report facts as he knows them. He says many people in the area already knew the facts and that almost all of them are dead by now.

Mr. King promised to do more shows on this topic and to have Dr. Mitchell back. He thanked him and said he was honored to have such a distinguished visitor on the show.
