Rumors are just that, something heard with no factual source, but some rumors actually have a verifiable source. The new health plan has many rumors, but all can be verified easily by just going to read it. I have found all the information about the plan at: http://thomas.loc.gov/ , by typing HR3200 or HR3400 the text is laid out in plain English for everyone to read and disseminate for themselves. Yet, many call the concerns of the Tea Party goers as rumors or rhetoric.
It’s not bad enough that this administration wants to nationalize health care, but ‘Nationalization’ seems to be the word of the day. So lets examine some of the other so called ‘rumors’ floating around, and judge for yourself.
Tax Returns
This administration is considering sending your income tax refunds in the form of a savings bond. I’m sure that will go over just fine, considering that most people wait all year for that money to make purchases, pay off bills etc. In his regular radio address, president Obama outlined some steps to help with the failing economy. Since most Americans don’t know how to save, you will now have the option of requesting your tax return in the form of savings bonds. In other words, the government will keep your money, and issue you a piece of worthless paper. Could this just be a rumor? Maybe, but The Washington Post and others quote Obama himself.

Nationalizing your 401K
It’s not enough that your hard earned money is being taxes away to nothing, a new proposal is being looked at which would nationalize your 401K, forcing employers to enroll you in the new government plan, which will pay you a whapping 3% interest on your money. National ID cards
Whatever name you want to call it, the National Id, Real ID or Pass ID, they are all the same, nationalized identification cards which are planned to replace the state issued driver’s license. The "9/11 Commission Implementation Act of 2004", that was enacted in December 2004. Section 7212 of that law established a cooperative state-federal process, via a negotiated rule-making procedure, to create federal standards for driver’s licenses. These federal standards will begin to be implemented beginning in January of 2010, and finalized by 2011. Each card's record which must be shared with the federal must include the person's full legal name and any other common law name or previous name, signature, date of birth, place of birth, parent's name and social security and parent's id number or drive's license number, gender, unique driver's license or identification card number, passport number, social security number, voter registration with optional party membership, military record, marital status and spouse's name, race, employment status, mental disability and criminal record if any. It also includes a photograph of the person's face, and the person's height, weight, eye and hair color, dental records and fingerprints, the address of principal residence and all previous residence addresses from the previous 10 years and a list of all the countries and US states visited in the previous ten years. It is required to have physical security features designed to prevent tampering, counterfeiting, or duplication of the document for fraudulent purposes. In North Carolina, these new security features include a hologram of a map of the entire North American continent.
It will use common machine-readable technology, with defined minimum data elements or an optional baby chip may be inserted with parental consent subcutaneously to help locate the child in case of lost (the details of which are not spelled out, but left to The Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of Transportation. and the states, to regulate).

Everyone deals with rumors as well as reality in different ways. Some choose to protest at Tea Parties, some quietly call or write their congressman, some just hide their heads in hopes that the rumors don’t become reality. How much makes the transition is really up to us, dispute facts if you want to, these are just a few of the ‘Changes’ we can expect.

Rumors have it Obama surrounds himself with Marxist Anarchist Insurrectionists Czars; wait again that's no rumor it's another proven fact! Rumors have it Obama wants to dictate the salaries of free enterprise CEO's and others through his Pay Czar; wait again not a rumor a proven fact! Rumor has it Obama's Health Care will break the bank to the tune of ONE TRILLION DOLLARS through the first two years; you guessed it again, no rumor just the facts Danno!
The cold hard truth about President Hussein Obama is the only rumor concerning him that is in fact a rumor is that he isn't a Marxist follower of The Communist Manifesto and doesn't want to redistribute your wealth! Now that's a rumor!

IslandVoice, the sad truth is that even with hundreds of us watching he will do things we won't know until it's too late. I watched the Tea Parties, and although I was happy about the number of people who turned out, it still makes me sad to think the they are not listening to us. Jiberish, if forty or fifty million Americans banded together and stopped paying taxes, there would be little the government could do about it. Taxation WITHOUT representation would be the justification.

Dean, we should start getting the word out. Not paying taxes, then blame Turbotax, would be a hoot! I shot shotguns and found it exciting, and painful, my shoulder hurt for days.
As far as savings bonds...they can keep them, I would want my money....As far as the id cards, sounds too much like putting my entire life in a card and too close to the mark of the beast to me....What I haven't figured out yet is whether Hitler has been reincarnated or not...and I pulled my head out of the sand a long time ago...if we do not band together and get in touch with our congressional representatives and sign petitions against all of this, we will be forced into losing our rights totally... I heartily agree with partisan patriot...and I think the black helicopters are over my house as I write....LOL

Great hub here, I had heard of the new I.D. card however I didn't relize it would include so much personal information on it. I went to renew my state I.d. and was rejected, because i owe on a ticket.

Interesting intell, Jiberish. I am wondering why this national ID card only got started in 2004 did you say? Wouldn't they have wanted to implement that shortly after 9/11 as an "assurance" that citizens are who they say they are? In reading the list of information that would be on this card it seems to me the card would not be exactly wallet sized,but could be made into a lovely outergarment to wear -- with info about onesself head to toe!
As for nationalizing 401(k) plans that's really interesting too. 3% would be a step in the right direction from the hit our portfolios have taken since last year. But I cannot imagine this being a practical idea. Basically what it is saying is that companies cannot invest in Wall Street. Who would guarantee the 3%? I dunno. Not liking that one.
As for getting tax refunds in the form of savings bonds. If they made it optional -- that you could take your refund in cash or "invest it" in Tbonds, that's one thing. But I can't see them blanketly refusing to give back refund money that is owed. On the other hand, I have always been taught the ideal is to zero out at the end of the year. Don't owe more to the IRS but don't get a refund back, because if you get a refund back you have let the govt "use" YOUR money when it could have been working for you.
Now here's an idea. If you end up owing the IRS instead of getting a refund, perhaps you could give the government a Tbond. Whaddya think?
