Article Marketing

Article Marketing is my favoured form of marketing, and I spend a lot of time researching keywords, researching material, writing material, publishing to various places, book marking, rounding up and submitting RSS feeds them, and pinging new blog posts. The list of activities goes on, and although each one is essential, some of them can become a bit tedious. There is a lot to do, and if you want to succeed as in this internet marketing game, you have to constantly do lots of these afore mentioned activities. Imagine if there was a tool that could automate some or all of these functions. Just think how much time you could save.

There are a number of automated programs on the market that performs some of these activities including directory submitters, article posters and automated and semi-automated bookmarking programs.  One of the tools that has been flying under the radar for some time, slowly adding more features and refining its scripts, is SE Nuke.

I have been using SE Nuke for most of 2009. It is truly an awesome piece of software and I have found that it has helped me kick start my publishing business over recent months. I want to write of my experiences with this tool, and it will probably take a few hubs.

The Rewriter Module

Some of the really excellent features of SE Nuke include a tool to simplify the registration at Web 2.0 sites and social bookmarking sites. This is an incredible module that saves a bucket load of time.

Other modules include the niche selection and keyword analysis tool. Drawing data from the Google Adwords External Keyword tool, SE Nuke crunches the numbers, and is able to identify keywords that are “extremely easy”, “easy”, “doable” or “difficult” to rank for. There are a few other categories such as “Don’t Even Think About it” to describe the super competitive keywords whose search results are dominated by high PR and authority sites. There are other features, but in this hub I thought I would concentrate on the rewriting module of SE Nuke.

There is a built in article rewriter. Although the “spinning” tool that automatically adds alternative text is available for an extra fee, the manual article re-writer is very easy to use. I have tried the auto spinner, and as is often the case, the auto-spinner leaves a lot to be desired. Synonyms are only good synonyms when a real person understands the context. The (manual) rewriter is very easy and efficient to use, allowing you to generate numerous copies of the same article that are all unique. It allows you to highlight a sentence (or phrase or word) and add one, two or more alternatives to the highlighted text.

The completed text is coded in the limiter|delimiter syntax that enables the spinner to do its work. To do it properly, and maximise the uniqueness, you should have 4 versions of each sentence, and in each sentence have one or two second level alternatives. As long as the 4 sentences mean the same thing, and the two or three variable synonyms are accurate, you can end up with over 20 versions of a sentence.

To give you an idea of how a spinner works, here are three versions of the one sentence:

{The cat runs faster than the dog.| The dog does not move as quickly as the cat.| The cat can run more quickly than the dog}

A second level rewrite would look like this and have up to 22 versions of the same sentence:

{The cat [runs|can move|gets around] [quicker|more rapidly|faster] than the dog.| The dog [is not able to|does not|can not] move as [quickly|swiftly|efficiently] as the cat.| The cat can [dash|scamper|run] more quickly than the dog.}

This would produce some of the following variations:

The cat can move more rapidly than the dog. The dog does not move as swiftly as the cat.The cat can scamper more quickly than the dog.

I am sure you get the idea. This is done manually in SE Nuke – that is you choose the words – but the script makes it easy and relatively quick to do. The important thing here is to take the time to do this very well. Do not take shortcuts. If you keep the meaning of each sentence in tact, you will be able to generate readable quality articles. It is no point generating and posting rubbish. Each article will be readable and make sense, however, my view is that you should not put these rewritten articles on your premium target sites (say Hubpages, Ezinearticles and your home site.)

Once you have your original article available to be posted, this is where the true magic of SE Nuke lies. You now have the opportunity to post a unique article to about 30 Web 2.0 properties or article directories, and build a massive number of backlinks to your site.

And that sounds like the topic of my next Hub.

SE Nuke is offering a 7 day free trial. Check out the link at the top of the Hub.
