The main dashboard is straight forward and let's you see an overview of top traffic sites, recently indexed and spidered pages, and misc useful stats. This is a great simple yet effective layout which enhances productivity by offering a shortcut style page.

Adding and deleting domain names is a snap. You can also group and upload domain names from a csv file if you've got them all loaded in a spreadsheet already. A very thoughtful option to add.

In the statistics section, you can track: uniques, total visits, pages, hits, and bandwidth. All these pulled from AWSTATS no doubt. Again, you could easily access all this information, but to be able to just click through to check ALL YOUR AWSTATS at once is just do awesome!

With another click on SEO Cockpit, you can check your backlinks from G, Yahoo, and Alta Vista; along with PR. Another 2 clicks will easily show you your pages indexed in G, Yahoo, and MSN (GYM); and recent spider activity from GYM and Alexa. Lastly, you can export all this data.

As for keywords, you can easily enter your targeted keywords per domain and check their ranking in GYM. There doesn't seem to be a CSV import for this section; which would be nice, but it's an easy copy and past from a RETURN separated txt file for instance. No big deal. Again, you have the ability to export the data as you wish.

In the dedicated reports section, you can view the report before you print it or email it as a pdf.

In the options section you can change your default dashboard view settings and email alert/notification information. Traffic, backlinks, and pages indexed changes are measured in percentage (1-50%) and if these values change by whatever number you enter, SEO Cockpit will email you to let you know. Keyword rankings and spider visit changes are measure as integers (1-50). No more worrying about your keywords and sites when you're not near a computer. If anything major is going on, SEO Cockpit will let you know.

If you have any questions, SEO Cockpit has a great support system with fast responses to submitted trouble tickets (if needed). Also, SEO Cockpit has a built in tutorial video that is VERY helpful if you're first starting out.

So, how much does SEO Cockpit cost? The company puts it out in plain view and doesn't hide it somewhere where you have to scroll to the bottom of some pitch page. It's in a tab called PRICING. Now, isn't that nice. Honestly, they don't have to because the pricing is VERY fair; especially for the standard version - which I think most people will fall into... $20/month. That is, of course, less than $1/day. It was a no brainer for me.

There are 4 options: FREE ($0/mo), BASIC ($10/mo), STANDARD ($20/mo.), and VOLUME ($80/mo.). Brandable reports are available at the Standard and Volume levels. Here's a quick breakdown that can be viewed on the SEO COCKPIT website:

FREE - 1 domain, 10 keywords, 72hr stat updating ($0/mo.)

BASIC - 20 domains, 400 keywords, 48hr stat updating ($10/mo.)

STANDARD - 50 domains, 1000 keywords, 24hr stat updating ($20/mo.)

VOLUME - 250 domains, 5000 keywords, 24hr stat updating ($80/mo.)

In my opinion, FREE and BASIC are really not realistic packages because of the 72hr and 48hr updating restriction that is placed on those plans. 24hr updates are only available on the STANDARD and VOLUME plans.

The FREE plan is really a nice option to test out the capabilities of SEO Cockpit to evaluate the system. BASIC lets you up the ante by adding more sites and keywords to see the system work on a larger scale.

Again, for most users, the STANDARD plan is where it's at. $20 a month is a small price to pay to be able to manage and view the statistic of all your websites in one place; and all hosted online. I'm not at the point of the VOLUME plan, but once I am, I'm sure $80 will be a no brainer as well.
