Attraction Marketing. A New Way of Fishing

Not so long ago, we lived on a palm fringed tropical island away out in the Pacific Ocean. Often when the day was sweltering hot and the air heavy with the scent of the Heilala flower, we'd feel the pressure building up.

It was definintely time to lighten up. What to do? Some would go fishing. Grab the spear gun, get in that water and go, go go after those elusive fish.

Not me!

I'ts a Whole Lot Easier

And it's much more fun sitting in a gently rocking boat, whistling a happy tune and dangling the bait on the end of a fishing line until the fish find me. Not too much effort there.

Attract 'em

And bait's not all wriggly squirmy worms on the end of a string. Although some fish just love ‘em.

There's another way the Tongans showed us. In the dark of night, bright beckoning light works just as well. Perhaps fish are curious creatures – they’re attracted to the light.

You don’t have to pressure them to eat your bait then. You don’t even need a hook. They’ll gulp your bait down because they’re so attracted to it, they can’t help themselves.

  1. So the first lesson to learn is to know which bait to use in the right place at the right time.
  1. The next lesson to learn is to know which fish you’d like to attract.

You could say that your bait is good for all the fish in the ocean and hope that one of them will swim by and get hooked.

But why not do a little homework and find out just what it is that just one kind of fish like to eat, and then offer it to them? Because the main life goal of that kind of fish is to search the ocean for the kind of food you’ve got waiting for them!

We learned lots about fishing while living on that tropical isle.

What To Do and What Not to Do.

Funny though – we don’t eat fish. Never have.

We just watched how others attracted them.

And now it’s got me thinking.

A few years ago, I was looking for something – I looked all over the vast ocean of the Web.

I nibbled at a few different baits dangling out there but nothing I ate did the trick. Thought I’d never enjoy feeling great again.

Some people tried hook line and sinker to get me to swallow their kind of bait. But I didn’t want to be reeled in by someone who didn’t really have what I needed.

So I swam away from their hook and bait as fast as I could.

They even chased after me, but that made me get away even more desperately.

Eventually I spotted something on the vast ocean Web and after cautiously approaching it, watching others with similar health challenges go for it, checking carefully for anything “fishy” in the bait, I was attracted to it.

And I got stuck into it. Phew. Now I’m back to my healthy old self – but feeling like new, energetic and so glad that I didn’t swim away from that bait.

I was attracted to it because it was just what I was looking for. And it worked.

Now, leaving fishy tales aside, let’s think about this.

The Old Network Marketing School of Grabbing Anyone Anywhere and Trying to Hook them into Your Business Makes No Sense at all.

Even if you do do it in a way that appears to be more sensitive than that. By asking questions, listening and listening some more.

I’m so happy that There Is a Better Way. Thanks to the common sense and courage of Ann Sieg to so clearly outline why most people in Network Marketing go fishing and come home without a catch.

You'll Never Ever Go Back to the Old Ways Again.

Because marketing what you have to a group of people who need what you have, who are looking for what you have just plain makes sense.

And marketing on the web is simple even for the technically challenged. So click here for connect the dots teaching.

Teaching you how to Connect with customers who are searching for what you sell.

You’ll never ever have to try to “convince” someone again to listen to you.

That’s what Web 2.0 is all about.

Wikipedia puts it this way:

“Web 2.0 is a term describing the trend in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to enhance creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users. These concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities and hosted services, such as social-networking sites, wikis and blogs and more.

So, can fishing on the net be simply and easy? Absolutely. Is it work? Absolutely. But isn’t it more satisfying to connect with people who are searching for what you sell?

Has the pressure been building up for you? It's time to lighten up!

Because it's Lots more Fun Catching Fish who Want to be Caught.

Yes, different bait for different fish.  It sounds like you are onto a winner because when you toss bait overboard instead of a hook, rather than catch one fish at a time you're likely to attract the whole school.  Keep them coming!

That's so right. We watched about 80 Pelicans the other day - all waiting - lined up - watching every move - waiting for the bait to be thrown.

They'd told all their friends to be there too.

80 big beaks lined up waiting for their favourite food. Gotta think about that some more.
