how to clear a virus infected computer

There is nothing more frustrating than when your trusty computer slows down to a crawl and just will not perform like it did when you bought it. There are a few reasons that can cause this and each reason has a method you can use to speed it back up, and it is all for free.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: Firstly, It is important to know if your computer slowed down suddenly or gradually over time. "Suddenly" is not good, and means you have a virus. You will need to do a System recovery and get your computer back to the factory settings. You can do this yourself for free. Each computer manufacturer has a special key you have to hit when you power on the computer and you can find out what that System restore key is by doing a Google search. I do know some of these keys, such as

HP and Compaq desktops/towers use F10,

E Machines and Gateway PC use F11, laptops - run the recovery disk.

Toshiba laptop- run the system recovery disk,

Sony PC F10.

Once a system restore window pops up just follow the instructions. The whole system restore could take 2 or 3 hours. When done, reboot your computer and it should be speedy again. (Back up your files as you will lose all files)
