SOG Arc-Lock Vulcan, Manual Knife
The Vulcan Arc-Lock Manual Knife by SOG is probably the best new manual folder on the market in a very long time. Quite frankly, this knife is my new favorite knife. It opens manually (which means you have to pull the blade open by hand and close it by hand). But, interestingly enough, if you whip your hand you can get it to open with one hand. I really like this feature. The knife is fairly heavy, which gives you plenty of weight behind it when you are using the knife. If you are looking for a great all around knife--this is it!

SOG has created the Aegis as a premier folder. It has the S.A.T (no not the darn test--it stands for surest assisted technologies) and is one of the best assisted opening systems in the industry. It also comes with SOG's trademarked bayonet reversible clip and a built in safety with a red/ready to go marking.

SOG-TAC 01
SOG Knives has been asked for years to produce a tactical switchblade but they waited because they wanted to do it right. And they did! The SOG-TAC 01 is an amazingly thin switchblade. This knife opens fast and locks up extremely tight. The handle is 6061T6 hard-anodized aluminum that is inset with G10 textured inlays. There is also a safety button on the handle that locks it open or closed. The blade is an innovative upswept style that looks stylish and works well. It also has a reversible bayonet style clip. Nice blade by a great company.

Just tired out the Vulcan SOG knife. Wow! Let me start out by saying I love Spyderco knives they are by far my favorite knives. But this Vulcan is some knife. The axis lock is very cool the only thing I don’t like about it is the knives have to be a certain thickness to accommodate the axis lock. I prefer my knives a little thinner like the SOG TAC knives they are super thin. Back to the Vulcan it has a thumb stud or a spine flipper I like the spine flipper better. The best part is you can deploy the knife without even using ether yep you heard right if you hold the knife tightly in you hand and give it a good flick it comes out on it’s own. Don’t believe me try it.
