Hi Tom. Since I started my own website I've gotten at least 20 different offers from "gurus" who claim that I can make thousands of dollars by using their systems. What's been your experience with these offers?

Al, I hate to say this , but lots of these "offers" are just an attempt to separate you from your hard earned money. They promise if you follow their step by step program, you'll be raking in hundreds of dollars a day. But it just doesn't work that way. I guess the operative word is "work". You see, to have lots of traffic coming to your website you need to become known. What I mean by that is you have to have a presence in lots of places on the Internet. Here at Hub pages, you have a blog . And I know you have a word-press blog, a blooger.com and squidoo lens also. Setting it all up and regularly posting to your blogs with informative, content laden articles takes "work".

So, Al. these quick plans offered at $67 or $$47 or $19 for the downloads are not going to increase your presence on the Internet. Sure, you'll learn some new tricks that you may be able to be use on your website. But stick with a plan that allows you to increase your audience---to talk to others out here on the Internet. That's called "traffic". That will create interest and in turn, sales for your product.

Well, Tom, to tell the truth I've kind of been stuck kind of in a rut. I guess it boils down to what should I do next to get my website noticed by other people on the Internet?

Al, do you have a squeeze page set up on your site.That's one of the most important items to be sure you have. Of course, you've got to have people coming to your website too. Without anyone knowing you're there, a squeeze page is useless!!

Well I've tried to be everywhere on the internet, Tom. I have a couple of blogs at blooger.com, a wordpress blog and a Hub page. I'm working on an e-zine article and I hope it will be accepted in the next few days. I've put in links to my main website in all of the blogs too. But I find It's sometimes difficult to come up with things people are interested in so they will come to the blogs and then go to my website.

Al, your just getting started. So being a little down or discouraged is just part of the whole process. You're doing exactly what you should do. Being PRESENT on the web so people will see your posts and follow along with you. And I might suggest you do a "deep linking" from your blogs. Instead of going to your main website, link over to a post on your main website you've done in the past that's relevent to your blog post. The search engines like to look for this kind of deep linking. And remember not to link blog to blog. Try to go to an article on your main website.

By the way Al, I've just started to show How To Set Up A Squeeze Page(www.opt-in-money-tree.com) on my website. I think it's going take a few posts to really make it clear and easy to follow. But keep writing those posts to your blogs, Al. No one should ever tell you that making yourself a success in Internet Marketing is a snap. It takes work!!.
