Stilts are a very handy tool! If you are in a profession that has a lot of ceiling work , Then they are a must! With a pair of high stilts you can work at heights of about 11 ft, depending on how tall you are.Im 6 ft 1  and thats pretty much my limit.  I know with my job using stilts is a daily thing.They cut my work time on ceilings by more than half!  You just cant make good work progress by climbing up and down a ladder.

Light weight and durable 

Stilts are a light weight tool .  This allows for long periods of time walking on them before you need a break.They are also very durable. A pair of stilts can last decades! I  have three sets of stilts , and my best pair is 15 years old .  And all I have had to do is change the leg straps.There also easly adjusted .  Simply  unscrew  two bolts,and then extend , or shorten the legs to desired height.

Many different jobs 

 I  use  them for many different jobs,  drywall, painting, insulation. I even use them to clean out the guttering of my home.Anytime I can avoid ladder work  I will. Now it does take some practice. The best way to learn how to walk on stilts is to practice at home. Just get on your stilts and slowly walk around the room holding on to the walls as you walk.This gives you more ballance ,and will help you feel a little less nervous!Keep practicing and pretty soon you will be a pro!

Not just for work 

 And stilts dosnt have to be just for work!  They even make stilts for kids.  Kids love stilts, I meet a lot  of people in my line of work.  And its always fun when a family comes in to a house im working on .If  they have there kids with them., Then all the attention  goes to me! They really get a kick out of watching me walk around on those things!

Stilts have been around 

 Stilts have been around for hundreds of years .Fench farmers used  stilts  to aid them over marshes , and brush.  Entertainers have long been making use out of stilts,I know you have all seen those really tall circus clowns walking around! Well  what  ever  you use them for ,there very  handy, and very affordable . Thats another good thing  ,You  dont have to get the most expensive pair of stilts,  the cheap  ones will last just as long!  Welp  have fun!!
