Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is an Indian cricketer, who is consider as greatest batsman in the world Cricket after Sir Donald Bradman.He is the icon for the cricket.

In 2002, Wisden ranked Sachin as second greatest Test batsman of all time after Sir Donald Bradman and second greatest ODI batsman of all time after Viv Richards. Sachin is the only player of present genration who got place in Bradman's eleven. Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in both Test and ODI's.

Tendulkar did his schooling in Sharadashram Vidyamandir High School. He was involved in an unbroken 664-run partnership in a Lord Harris Shield inter-school game in 1988 with his friend and team mate Vinod Kambli, in which Tendulkar scored 326* in this innings and scored over a thousand runs in the tournament. This was a record partnership in any form of cricket until 2006, it was broken by two under-13 batsmen in a match held at Hyderabad in India. during his school he attended MRF Pace Foundation to become fast bowler, but Dennis Lillee former Australian blowler who took 355 test wickets an world record was not impressed and suggested him to concentrate on batting. His cricketing coach Ramakant Achrekar, who was impressed by Tendulkar batting will place a coin on top of the stumps and who dismissed Tendulkar would get that coin, if Tendulkar stands notout for the day, coach would give that coin for Tendulkar. He won 13 such coins from his coach.

Sachin was named after a great music composer Sachin Dev Burman. Sachin Tendulkar married Anjali (born on nov 10 1967) in 1995, she is pediatrician and her father is an industrialist in Gujarath. they have two children Sara (born on sep 12 1997) and Arjun (born on oct 24 1999).

Sachin made as icon player in Indian Premier league and he was signed for a huge sum of US$1,121,250, 15% more than the second-highest paid player in the team, Sanath Jayasuriya. He is the most sponsored player in world cricket and has a huge fan following even amongst foreign audiences. Tendulkar has made numerous commercial ventures including opening a chain of restaurants in India.
