Safe Appetite Suppressant

Looking for a safe appetite suppressant? I apologize if I misled you but I’m hoping to inform you of the dangers of a so called “safe appetite suppressant”. You may be disappointed, but I’m also prepared to show you other safe and effective ways to control your weight. We’ll discuss simple ways to prevent overeating (or controlling appetite) without appetite suppressants and other safe diet programs that can help you lose weight without the side effects. Allow me to show you why “safe appetite suppressant” is a big lie, let us begin.

So What's in these Appetite Suppressants?

Appetite Suppressants in general, contain ephedra and caffeine. Caffeine is often marketed as appetite suppressant but in actual it serves no purpose in suppressing appetite. Caffeine is a stimulant and it may help your body burn more energy for a short period of time, but it’s only a brief boost that cannot be sustained. As the effects of the caffeine wears out, your body will need more recovery time and as a result caffeine will not help you lose weight.

The real problem of the so called “safe appetite suppressant” is that it contains massive amounts of caffeine and caffeine overconsumption is not without side effects.

Here are some notable ones:
Anxiety
Insomnia
Headache
Nervousness
Heart palpitations
Muscle twitching or otherwise as known hyperreflexia

Rest assured that normal consumption of caffeine through moderate drinking of coffee or tea is not to be compared with taking these so called “safe appetite suppressants”. It should also be noted that there have been fatal cases reported for consuming appetite suppressants containing dangerous amounts of caffeine and or overconsumption of such products.

What Exactly is Ephedra?

First and foremost, it is important to note that using ephedra as an appetite suppressant for weight loss is banned by the FDA. I know, no one likes to be told what to do by the “man”, but there’s a good reason why the FDA has banned its use on weight loss.

Ephedra puts your nervous system on the edge and speeds up your heart rate by constricting your blood vessels. Needless to say, it puts lots of strain on the heart and vascular system. You may lose your appetite but you may also get these side effects;

Insomnia
Irritability
Increased blood pressure
Nervousness
Ephedra has also been linked to stroke, seizure, and severe heart problems.

Ephedra is dangerous because its effects last for only a brief period and that means you have to take large doses in order to reap any benefit from it. Introducing large doses of ephedra has caused some fatalities and that is precisely why the FDA has banned it.

So you may use ephedra at your own risk, but just remember it may just kill you. Safe appetite suppressant you ask? There isn’t such thing, at least not yet.

The Cheap Way to Lose Weight

Follow these simple steps to lose weight. They are all free with no purchase necessary:

Walk – Jogging isn’t for everyone and if you are overweight you can damage your knees badly by putting too much strain around the joints. So do a power-walk, it’s a fancy way of saying walk very fast. Start with 20 minute brisk walks, elevate walking speed and time in small increments until you can power-walk for an hour.

Drink Water – Replace soda with water, a can of soda has roughly 100 calories. If you drink one can a day, you can rid of 3000 calories in a month. Drinking lots of water will also keep you from snacking too often as it fills you up. Some studies also suggest drinking lots of water to boost your metabolism.

Eat Slowly – There is a 10 minute delay from when you are physically full and when your brain gets the message. Eating slowly will keep you from overeating, simple enough and anyone can do this.

Rest Well – Lack of sleep is detrimental to losing weight. Make sure you sleep at proper hours 7 to 8 hours a day.

When you are on a budget, it’s best to keep things simple. Follow these simple steps to lose weight and I hope right about now you’ve given up on your search for the “safe appetite suppressant”.

You have layed out a lot of good points on this subject. I have forgotten the substance used in snack foods that suppresses your brain to induce hunger, but that's just not fair. Either way this is a growing issue now spilled over into the youth of America, the Health Care system is not complaining though. Very good hub.

Regards
