Salmon Recipe for the Oven or Grill

Here is an easy recipe for salmon that you can either broil or grill. I prefer grilled but sometime like it without the smoke taste.

What to Buy:

  • Salmon - 6 to 8 ounces per person, more if you like
  • 1/4 cup of honey or brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons mustard, spicy or regular, depends on taste
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Some type of cooking oil - I use olive oil

Prep:

  • Place Oven on broil (Grilling - prep charcoal or gas grill - needs to be good and hot)
  • Place cast iron skillet or broiling pan in oven to preheat
  • Remove skin from salmon
  • In a small bowl - combine honey, mustard, vinegar and soy sauce and mix with fork until well blended

Cooking:

Lightly brush oil on cooking surface - can spray oil can be used. Add salmon with skin side up (or what was skin side) cook for 4 minutes and turn, putting the pretty side up. Cook for 2 minutes. Brush on mixture and cook for additional 2 minutes.
