44Salmon Recipe for the Oven or Grill
Here is an easy recipe for salmon that you can either broil or grill. I prefer grilled but sometime like it without the smoke taste.
What to Buy:
- Salmon - 6 to 8 ounces per person, more if you like
- 1/4 cup of honey or brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons mustard, spicy or regular, depends on taste
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Some type of cooking oil - I use olive oil
Prep:
- Place Oven on broil (Grilling - prep charcoal or gas grill - needs to be good and hot)
- Place cast iron skillet or broiling pan in oven to preheat
- Remove skin from salmon
- In a small bowl - combine honey, mustard, vinegar and soy sauce and mix with fork until well blended
Cooking:
Lightly brush oil on cooking surface - can spray oil can be used. Add salmon with skin side up (or what was skin side) cook for 4 minutes and turn, putting the pretty side up. Cook for 2 minutes. Brush on mixture and cook for additional 2 minutes.
