A lot of people and fishermen prefer catching Salmon because of its popularity and good taste which makes them a hit in the fish market. Salmon has been recognized by nutritionists as a wonderful fish and super food that can give you a lot of benefits in regards to your health.

Salmon has been popular among health lovers since they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids which cannot be produced by the human’s bodies. For those who are weak in the heart you will be glad to know that the Omega-3 fatty acids found in Salmon are proving to be very beneficial when it comes to combating heart ailments and disease and are used to increase the heart rate variability and boosting HDL cholesterol which is the good cholesterol that your body needs. Omega-3 fatty acids found in salmon are also used to prevent high blood pressure and helps in the prevention of strokes. Recent studies now show that eating Salmon is now also said to help protect you from colorectal and prostate cancer.

Fish have been classified as brain food since 60% of the brain is composed of structural fat. The fatty acids found in fish like salmon can help move nutrients across the fatty membranes of the brain cells. Behavioral disorders and cognitive related ailments like Alzheimer’s disease are also prevented when you eat Salmon. Eating salmon regularly also reduces aggressive behavior.

Salmon can also give you vitamin D and B12 and is an excellent source of magnesium and vitamin B6. Canned salmon also has large amounts of calcium.

You can have baked salmon, grilled salmon, smoked salmon or eat them raw as sushi or sashimi. A lot of people love eating salmon due to the fact that they taste good which makes it easy to incorporate as a new and regular part of your diet even if you are the type who do not enjoy fish.
