And so it came that I decided to run my own business. With no previous business experience, yet armed with the optimism to succeed, I finally came to the decision of running my own business.

I knew what I wanted to sell. I knew what was required to make them, as well as just how much their raw materials would cost. I knew that I would have to advertise, in order for my product, my business, to get attention. I knew I would need to hire people, as well as make arrangements with where or how I would market my wares.

I've always prided myself as an "idea man", and already thought about all the ingredients to make my plans successfully operate. Yet, even with all my thinking, assuming and conjecturing, I found putting all the abovementioned elements into paper difficult. I found setting up a real business plan to be too daunting a task.

This is when I realized that looking into a sample business plan was the solution to my problem.

As copying someone else's work is among the most frowned upon acts in the world, I veered away from looking into a sample business plans at first, though a number of companies offered such items as part of their roster of services. But seeing the sample business plan in itself, already told me enough of what I should do in putting down my business plan.
