YOU ARE MY MAN (I know your Wife will complainin), but yesterday all of a sudden I found you on utube where I was looking for the source of "Number900" by Mark the 45 King. First i saw Part10 of your Sample-School inwhich you startet weakly and then by the first beats exploding. I thought, this must be my Brother. i grewed up in the 80´s and with 15 i got first time into a real Disco. I came there early because i´d have gone little earlier. The Dj, inside a DJ-Box( save from bottles or what), was playing "old" Funk Tunes when the Club was still empty. As i stand beside with my Tom Collins, he played "Atomic Dog" and the hole Dj-Box was shaking: DWODWODODUMMDUMMDUMM! Guess what - I was totally infected, i mean, my Parents listened to Songs like "Lovemachine" by Supermax while Party, but this was too much! And as he played "Fck the Devil" by Cpt. Blowfly, it gave me the rest!
Then came Rap(Hip Hop) to Germany and a lot of People told me this is just a temporarely Wave which will end five years later....WHAT? How You Like It Now Suckas? Hip Hop was like a Tornado that shaked up so many other Music-Styles with just Two Turtables and a Microphone! I saw Afrika Bambaataa, Kurtis Blow, Puplic Enemy, Just-Ice, T-La Rock, RUN DMC, Beastie Boys, De La Soul(White-Mans-Band-) and other live in the 80´s and they had the Funk.For me the Funk is like "The Book", it is still about to be written, like Bob Marley said: We got to fullfill the Book! O.K. keepin it down, all I want to say is that i soak up all of that and i wanna go deeper inside. Thank You for being what You are and what You do.
As i digged through Your fantastic E-work, i missed something( maybe it is there but i havent found it yet), it is the beat-base of some Songs. Actually i remenber that i´m looking for break-beat source of "Super Rappin No.2" by Grndmstr Flash(EPMD also used this for "It´s my Thing") + "You know my Steez" by Gangsatrr + "Use Me" by Steady B. And bye the Way, what else did Marlena Shaw on Hip Hop Tunes, I know that "Woman of the Ghetto" includes a sample which was used for "Remember Me" by Blue Boy.

Oh my Dear, how do You know all these? I mean this is deep diggin! And sometimes, you don´t hear it in the Originals, like Mountain "Long Red" ( I changed them before with Steamhammer), they created that almost simple Beat and then listen to what Rap-Artist made out of that. It´s absolutely faszinating to go back to the roots of it all, i tried to find a music-file of Les McCanns "Music lets me be", in the Web, but after one hour i gave up. the next thing is, i only buy Vinyls ( i copy them to my mac, but cd or soakin mp3 files- forget it!) and this makes my budget going bye bye. Fortunately there are Guys like www.soultrade.de, who are sharing the love to those classics. Solong, know I got a Hub-Page and it´s empty. I ask myself what to do with it? I mean this is an US Page and talking about the Cruelty after 2000 Years of Christianity will bring me no more Friends. Maybe I start a Column with the Topping "What i like about America"! Matt Groening will be a good Cliffhanger. O.K. joke beside, i´m in aware of your Next Episode....hold up....!

Cool tooooonnnnzzz as per usual, props from the UK - especially for the #1 sample...
Patrice Oneal did a couple of shifts for Opie and Anthony and talked about samples, he was shocked at how little he knew about early hip hop and smaples.
This is fundamental--there should be a game show of hip hop heads versus music freaks and older folks who know music to see who holds the hip hop sample crown.
i watch all of your video on youtube and i notice that you never talked about a sample that average white band did chek da person to person track at about 2minutes flat and tell me about it.By the way your the best, keep da funk alive......
