Samples and Breakbeats: A Funky Soul DJ Demonstration Video (Part 6)
82
Welcome to the DeKalb Av subway station!
My station. This was Spike Lee's station. The Notorious B.I.G. as well. Jay-Z prob'ly met his customers here. You can see, smell and feel the culture oozing out of every crack in the pavement.
In Brooklyn, you don't call a cab...you take the subway AND if it's an emergency then you call the Car Service. It ain't as glorious as it sounds. A pimped out old El Dorado with a Royal Crown in the FRONT and Back Dash.
The subway though, was a wonderful place for me to grow as a writer. Because let's face it, New Yorkers spend a lot of time waiting around for trains. Added up I'll bet it's a few days per year. If you're looking for inspiration on humanity...look no further than the Brooklyn Subway Line. CHANGE HERE FOR THE 2,3.4.5.A.C.E,the B.D.F. the N, the R, the Queens-Bound G.
Won't you please stand clear of the closing doors!
and you should know the drill by now...Don't scroll down to the text below (although I know it is tempting now you're being told not to. :P) until after the video or you'll spoil all the great surprises that lie within!

WHITE BOY? You guy's are hilarious. See ya guys Saturday Night! NAPLES BABY!
Great video and I like the picture of Dekalb Avenue. I know that is not what the topic is about, but the lady reading/waiting for the subway reminds me of myself waiting for a train or bus, I always am engrossed in a book :).
