The Samsung Impression SGH-A877 is one of the best phones available with AT&T. It is a messaging phone with a touchscreen and a spacious QWERTY keyboard. The Impression has the dimensions 114 x 58 x 15 mm and weighs 5.30 oz.

The Samsung Impression has a 3.2 inch AMOLED(active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) touchscreen display and has a resolution of 240X400 pixels. It supports upto 262 144 colors. Below the display there are 3 touch buttons for phone dialer, main menu and contacts menu. The QWERTY keyboard slides out to the left of the display. The keyboard is sturdy and quite spacious and makes typing a wonderful experience.

The SGH-A877 runs on Samsung's TouchWiz interface. The interface looks great with its shortcut widgets but you can't add new widgets to your home screen. Some widgets include a clock, music player, calender, etc. Overall the interface is really good looking and touch-friendly.

The Impression has a 3.0 megapixel camera and can take photos in five different resolutions. Some of the features include multishot mode, smile shot mode, exposure metering, 4 quality settings, white balance, self timer, self portrait mirror, geo-tagging, etc. You can also shoot videos in two resolutions(320x240 and 176x144). Overall the camera is good but it lacks a flash.

The phone is loaded with AT&T's standard music player and supports MP3, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA file formats and offers features like airplane mode, shuffle/repeat modes, album art and playlists. It also has access to AT&T's Mobile Music service. The phone also supports video playback of MPEG4 files. The Impression has an internal memory of 189 MB which can be expanded upto 16 GB using an external microSD card.

The Samsung Impression features a full HTML browser for accessing the internet. It also supports Bluetooth and USB mass storage. E-mails, text and multimedia messaging and instant messaging is also supported. GPS with support for AT&T's Navigator is also included.

The phone book can store upto 2000 entries. Each individual entry can have 4 phone numbers, an e-mail address, street address, birthday, nickname and notes. You can also add a separate ringtone and photo for each contact. Caller groups are also supported.

The Samsung Impression uses a standard 1000 mAh Li-on battery. The talk time of the phone is 3 hours and the standby time is 250 hours. Other basic features include a calculator, a memo pad, alarm clock, world clock, calender, to do list, timer, stopwatch, unit converter, etc.
