I have my view Sansa 16GB two weeks ago, and I am especially pleased. After downloading the latest firmware (.06 A), I found most of the initial quirks were addressed. First, you will notice the construction and it is very solid, and despite those who think the Sansa View is ugly, I think it's elegant. The size is very appropriate fitting easily in the palm, without large and not so small, you have to grope and let them (ie Zen V!) Other reviewers have on the menu icons ...... This is really stupid because I do not for the purchase of view, it is "striking" icons. See it ... The icons are clear and gently glide along the screen in conjunction with the rotation of the wheel data. The video functionality is very good. I use a Neuros MPEG-II recorder and it works fine. I had a few problems with the sync videos with WMP 10, but I would rather not the fault of Microsoft Sansa View. The downloaded Sansa Media Converter utility is not the best software that is a long time to transcode files, and missing a lot of files, but I have a lot of applications for this so it's not a problem. Music files easily with WMP with fast transfer speeds. (USB 2) It is, however, important to ensure that "one-off" and such songs downloaded properly marked, or else they are at the end hard to find. The sound quality of the Sansa view is not unusual clicks appears, or distortion. Volume are easy to get noisy environments, even without insulation type ear buds. The equalizer functions very well, and your settings will be kept in memory. Building playlists with WMP or just on the view. Browse the melodies and press and hold the center button and the song is added to the playlist. Unfortunately, only a list can be compiled on the device, even when multiple lists can be imported with WMP. You can also drag-and-drop audio and JPEG files directly to the Sansa Explorer window. Not jpeg images can be quickly transcoded with the Sansa Media Converter. The disadvantages: Currently, there is no audio bookmark function for a long podcast files or audio books. (Bookmarking is available for video) Some video files within the advertised information will not play. Uses a proprietary USB cable Virtually no cases than in the past, with one exception DLO case (which I bought), "hodge-podgy, and the hidden beauty of the Sansa View. Although the battery life is quite good, it's not as good as advertised. The battery is no longer attainable, and would replace a factory.

Other than these few drawbacks, the Sansa View is a truly exceptional player. I am banking on a future firmware upgrades with which audio-video bookmarks file, and better support, as well as a few other quirks address and stability. The hardware is excellent and obviously capable. Given prices for the 16 GB of around 200 dollars. (The price for the 8GB Nano) that you really can not go wrong with this device ..... And, yes it does not support DRM-AAC files from your current collection itunes. I would say that ....." Buy it! "
