Have you ever see a sangria recipe with herb in it. This one have herb. What is the herb, basil. Basil is a herb popular using in cooking. Basil is one herb that give out sweet aroma and flavor. This herb go well with the Sangria recipe.

This is going to be a bit different because this time you are going to use a saucepan and actually cooking a drink.

Ingredients

-3/4 cup white sugar

-1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves

-3 1/2 cups peach nectar

-1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

-1 (750 milliliter) bottle white wine such as Pinot Grigio

Mixing

1. combine the sugar, basil, half of peach, and lemon juice

2. bring the combination to simmer

3. Smash the basil leaves with back of the spoon to release the flavor

4. Simmering until the sugar dissolved

5. Remove from the stove and let it cool

6. Strain the basil mixture into pitcher with ice

7. Pour the wine in the pitcher

8. Add remaining peach nectars to the pitcher

If you have made Sangria in the past and used sugar. You will noticed how different this is. When you are simmering the sugar and it dissolved. It became like syrup and it will diffuse the drink better which give you a balance flavor of sugar. If you add the sugar to cold drink, it almost does not dissolve and you will have to stir to get the sweet flavor.
