The Sangria orignally use red wine. The basic ingredient has always been Rioja, Spain wine. Sangria can use any kind of wine. White wine will carry out different flavor. It is more sweeter and light. Sangria recipe have more direction on use of red wine than white wine does.

Ingredients

-1 Bottle of white wine

-2/3 cup white sugar

-3 oranges or may substitute 1 cup of orange juice)

-1 lemon

-1 lime

-1/2 liter of ginger ale or club soda

Mixing

1. Pour the white wine in the pitcher

2. Squeeze the fruits wedges and then toss in the pitcher

3. Add the ginger ale or club soda

The white wine on list you can use are Riesling, Albarino, Chablis, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc. The white wine will vary. For instance Riesling may be sweeter than chardonnay. It is matter of experiment and what flavor caters you better. This go the same for ginger ale or club soda. If you choose ginger ale and it will make your white sangria sweeter.

After you mix, put it in fridge for few hour before drinking.
