Everyone
should know by now that hand sanitizer is essential for maintaining health and
keeping your immune system protected from germs. The Centers for Disease
Control (CDC) have informed us that in addition to washing your hands
frequently and thoroughly, using a hand sanitizer to kill germs is highly
beneficial in reducing your risk for the common cold and flu, among other illnesses.As you begin your quest for the perfect hand sanitizer, let me save you some time as I have already done some research and comparisons on 4 great brands of hand sanitizer!
Which One is Best?
1. Purell
a. Sizes: 8 oz. push-top bottle, 2 oz. and 1 oz. cap-top bottles.
b. Contents: Purell makes 5 products total, 4 of which have aloe vera. Purell also contains 65% ethyl alcohol, effective against 99.9% of germs.
c. Scents: 2 scents, Ocean Mist and Summer Bloom.
d. Other ingredients: water, isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, carbomer, fragrance, aminomethyl propanol, propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate, tocopheryl acetate.
2. Germ X
a. Sizes: Germ X comes in the most sizes, ranging from 1.5 oz. bottles to 40 oz. refill bottles. They also make sprays and wipes.
b. Contents: Germ X uses aloe vera in 1 of their 8 products. Germ X contains 62% ethyl alcohol, effective against 99.9% of germs.
c. Scents: Lavender, Tangerine, Apple, Blueberry.
d. Other ingredients: Carbomer, Fragrance, Glycerin, Isopropyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Myristate, Propylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Water.
3. Sun Dew
a. Sizes: 1 oz. spray bottle.
b. Contents: Sun Dew uses aloe vera in all hand sanitizers. Sun Dew contains 70% ethyl alcohol, effective against 99.9% of germs.
c. Scents: Garden Fresh, Tropical Fruit, Orange Crème, Mint Julep.
d. Other ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Aloe Vera, Acai Oil.
4. CleanWell
a. Sizes: 1 oz. and 6 oz. spray bottles.
b. Contents: CleanWell contains aloe vera and also uses a thyme-based plant oil formula, which kills germs and also works as a moisturizer.
c. Scents: Lavender, Orange Vanilla, Ginger Bergamot, Spearmint Lime.
d. Other ingredients: Thymus Vulgaris Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf, Citric Acid, Copper PCA, Dicapryl Sodium Sulfosucccinate, Fragrance, Hydrolized Oats, Sodium Citrate, Water.

Looks like all hand sanitizers aren't created equal after all! I have tried all of these and my favorite is the spray bottle kind because it's so quick and mess free.
