Palin vs. Couric: ROUND 2! FIGHT!

The liberal media bias continues unabated by the protestations of the McCain campaign as they unfairly ask vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin simple questions politicians running for state comptroller should know how to answer. Not content embarrassing herself for three nights in a row with Charlie Gibson over at ABC, Ms. Palin is on another multi-night endeavour of shame with Katie Couric.

Couric, trying on her big girl reporter pants, asks some good questions, but nothing too probing or hard. She is, after all, Katie Couric: we don't want to see her blast anyone into smithereens, and that's just fine with her. But twice now, Sarah Palin has embarrassed herself. I spoke about the first half of her disastrous interview in a previous hub, but I could not anticipate what would come next.

Asked about the economic crisis the country is facing (RIP WaMu, please don't take my credit cards) all the Alaskan Governor could manage was a full minute of incoherent babbling. I wish I was exaggerating, but I am not. Admittedly, I am biased in favor of Barack Obama, there is no false non-partisanship on my part, but I know John McCain is not a dumb man. Ms Palin, on the other hand, is so dense she would sink in the Dead Sea.

There is a very real possibility someone who can't coherently answer a simple question about the important matter we're facing today could become president without any notice. Vice-presidents who must take over in the event of the death a sitting president have the toughest job in politics: healing a fractured country and leading during a country's greatest crisis. And here you have a woman who can't even think through the answer to a question without blurting out unconnected thoughts and stuttering repetitions.

God help us all.

Bonus Content!

If you want to play a blitz-drinking game with this clip, do the following:

  • Take a shot every time Sarah Palin stumbles over a Word
  • Take a shot of a Different Type of Liquor every time she changes the subject of her answer.

  • Drink from your beer every second the camera lingers on Katie Couric poorly concealing her disdain.
  • Finish it off by screaming LIPSTICK and finishing your drink.

Chances are you'll be dead. But at least you won't be alive to see a Palin presidency. The living will envy you.

I think it is safe to say we're witnessing the meltdown as we speak.

Good twist on the bonus front. Have you heard the reception she was given by the Pakistan President? On serious thoughts I guess if McCain becomes the president than Billions of people all over the world would pray for his long healthy life fearing the alternative. Hehe

countrywomen,

I had heard they met, but did not hear how the president of Pakistan felt about the meeting. Thank you for your comment!

I guess for some people it's not the issues they know but the personality they possess. And Sarah sure does look ravishing(I don't know whether her affair with her husband's ex business partner is true or not)

Sarah (Who?) Palin = Garbage in, Garbage out.

Enough said.

I predict Palin will be gone soon. We can only hope!

Len,

That was awesome. I've seen that clip about half a dozen times on various hubs, and I still can't quite believe it! I've been following this election from the UK so I won't get the chance to vote, but I shall so miss these hubs when it's over. It's better than a soap opera!
