Welcome

Welcome to my hub, and allow me to give you a brief introduction to its aims:

-To educate and inform people on the possibilites of new technologies which will allow us to derogate from our dependancy on fossil fuels.

- To provide helpful, present-day solutions to some of the problems we face today, such as ridiculous price increases in commodities, most notably fuel, energy, and food.

- To provide links and education on how we can do all of the above AND, save the environment at the same time.

We are facing a number of new challenges today. These challenges are not impossible to solve. We have a variety of resources at our disposal. The problem is, a lot of us don't know about them. Now, it is genuinely possible to save money AND improve your carbon footprint, while not letting your quality of life suffer.

Below, is a video to demonstrate to you the potential of new discoveries being made today all over the world.

58- Its a Magic Number

Speaking to my friend the other day, he was talking about how much slower he drives since the increase in fuel costs.

He drives a diesel car and could get around 450 miles per tank-full of petrol. Since the fuel crisis however, he has driven nearly EVERYWHERE at 58 miles per hour. Why? This is the speed at which your car runs at it's most efficient.

Since driving at this speed, he gets 650 miles per tank of petrol. Thats an improvement of engine performance of around a third. Which in my book, is pretty impressive! I'm driving everywhere from now on at 58, you can count on that!
