- Aggressive driving, like accelerating and braking to fast wastes gas. It can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent! (3 wasted gallons out of every 10 you buy!)
- Observe speed limits! Gas mileage drops quickly at speeds that are above 60 mph. For every 5 mph over 60 mph is the same as paying an extra 10 cents per gallon.
- Cruise control on the highway helps you to keep a constant speed which saves gas.
- Starting and stopping your engine uses less gas than idling, so turn off your engine at street lights or trains.
- Try and join all of your trips and errands to reduce driving time and gas.
