I never used coupons before in my life. I always thought that having to clip the coupons from the sunday paper and then use them would be too time consuming. But things got tough for our family and I resorted to using some coupons. By using coupons that I cut out of the sunday paper, I realized that there were some thing items I was buying were only costing 50 cents and some were even free. That made me want to find more of these coupons since I only had the ones from my one sunday paper.

It grew into an obsession. I was buying 2 or 3 sunday papers and then starting looking online for places to buy coupons. I found a few places that I will list here. They are actually called coupon clipping services since they cannot charge you for selling the coupon to you. The are just charging for their service of finding the coupon and cutting it out of the paper for you.

I then grew even more obsessed and found a few websites online that simply the process for you, the shopper. They already list "your" grocery store specials for the week and then show you what coupons are out there. Basically showing you what you end cost would be. A lot of the products that end up being free are typically brand new products that manufacturers are wanting you to try....so it's good to not be brand loyal and try these products.

The Following are several of the couponing websites I use almost weekly. These are the websites I was talking about that help make your grocery shopping and couponing experience a lot easier.

CouponMom.com - Couponmom.com is the main site that helps me out every week. It is free to register and has most grocery stores in every state available. They list the grocery store specials for the week and match the coupons that are available to those sales.

TheGroceryGame.com - TheGroceryGame.com has a small fee to access their website, but I believe that their service really helps me out. They post the grocery store deals that are available on saturday and match the coupons that are going to be coming out that following sunday. This service has gotten me a few extra free items that I would've never known about.

RefundCents - This is a great site because they have a chat board called Centsible Chat. Members here talk about the great specials they are finding at different grocery stores and stores like walmart and target. The main features of this site is about refunding. Filling out forms that are found on tearpads or found on specially marked packages, sending them in with your grocery store receipt and receiving a refund for the item purchased. Using refunding in conjunction with couponing really saves a lot of money.

What really got me excited about couponing was that both of the stores I shop at: Von's and Ralph's here in califonia double coupons. This is great because they double up to $1.00. So, if you have a $1.00 coupon, it doubles to $2.00. I've gotten many FREE items this way. Only problem is that both of these stores only double the 1st coupon. Second coupon is at face value. So, either shop with friends or do what I do. Make multiple trips. I have a 4 year old son that loves Juicy Juice juice boxes. From time to time the small packs are on sale for $1.99. I've been lucky to have had $1.00 coupons which doubled making them free. For items like these, I do take the time to make multiple trips to the same store. Usually, the sales are available for one whole week, so sometimes I even go in the morning before work, or evenings after work.
