Fight to bring back the partner you married.

“The mom-and-dad home as the best setting in which to raise children… ”

These are some of the important conclusions Pew Research Center released in July 2007 on the latest trend regarding relationships among Americans who joined a nationwide survey. Another finding arrived at and which surprised many was that the younger people have a firmer outlook when it comes to divorce in contrast to their elders. Young folks look forward to a more firmly rooted marriage for themselves and for people in the future. The Center also detailed what the study-participants thought were the three most critical motives for making marriages successful: fidelity, a happy sexual relationship, equity in domestic tasks.

But before the maturing generation now gets to realize this goal of married love for keeps, we the Baby Boomers and the early authors of divorce ought to help them repeat our painful mistakes. There's no mistaking that they're headed for bigger trouble if we don’t straighten up and make big, big sacrifices ourselves. So the biggest favor we can do for them is to ask and find the answer to the question how do I save my marriage?

On the lighter side, if some people are planning to get married and it is revealed that they're only looking for comfort, let's quote marriage counselor Dr. Greg Popcak: “If you want comfort, don't get a marriage license. Buy a Barcalounger.” Isn't it so right? The problem the average American is doing battle with these days, according to Dr. Popcak, is that we always want to put our own hides at first place so much so that that our ability to make sacrifices has withered already. Faithful, committed love-for-life requires of us the will to be mature!
