For a young country Australia has a lot of tradition, and nothing is more traditional than the Aussie BBQ! Australian’s have been BBQing since their beginnings and along with the sand, sun and surf Australia is known for its laid back culture where everyone is apparently saying “throw another shrimp on the Barbie”!

But could the beloved BBQ culture be in danger?

So it seems. A recent study on the leisure activities of different countries shows that Australians are shying away from entertaining friends, which means BBQ’s around the country are being turned off and fire starters are being stored away. The study found that Australians only spend 3% of their leisure time entertaining friends, compared to 43% in Turkey. Apparently, Australians spend 41% of their leisure time watching TV or listening to the radio!

It seems it is time to get off the lounge, turn off the TV and radio and get on the “blower” to our mates. AND most importantly ignite to BBQ and keep this beloved tradition alive. No other Australian company is more committed to this cause than Lifestyle BBQ’s. They have been manufacturing and selling quality Aussie BBQ’s to the masses since 1976.

They know the importance of the family BBQ and they know it is a focal point of most family and friend get togethers which is why they pride themselves on creating beautifully crafted BBQ’s that fit in with your lifestyle. They are long lasting and precision built BBQ’s designed for the Australian environment. When buying a BBQ for an Australian backyard there is only one company to contact, the Australian owned Lifestyle BBQ’s.

So don’t be like the French, who spend more time in bed than any other country, or like the Japanese who spend the most time at work and commuting. Get outside, enjoy your friends, buy some sausages and start your Lifestyle BBQ.
