Save money

In the past few years, we have watched the price of gas soar. It is hard to stick to a budget when gas prices are inconsistent and continuously fluctuating, so I have listed a few ways that may help you save your money and save gas.

Do regular tune ups: If you want your car to get the best gas mileage it can, tune up your car regularly.

Air Conditioning and other electric: Try to use your air conditioning and other electrical powered equipment as little as possible. Your electrical system is powered by the car's altinator which get's it's energy from the car's engine. The more electric you use in your car, the more energy is taken from the engine thus, the more gas is used to generate that power.

Check your tires: Your car will burn more gas if your tire pressure is too low or if your tires have an unequal amount of pressure in them

Watch how you drive: Taking off too fast from a dead stop burns more fuel.

Consider public transportation: If you are in an area where you can take the bus or train, why not consider it? Leaving the car at home will not only save gas but you will arrive at work relaxed. Not having to battle rush hour means less stress to you.

Carpool: If you live near fellow employees why not double up? You can trade off driving each week and use only half the gas.

School and activities: If you drive your kids to school and after school activities maybe you can arrange carpools with the other parents or, if you live close enough why not walk your children to and from school.

Start walking more: Walk instead of taking the car when you go the corner store. The exercise is good for you.

Get peddling: Some people are in a position to bike to work. You don't have to worry about traffic jams or parking and you'll feel great.

These are just a few tips that will help you save money and save gas.
