Step 1 Yourself - Birth Certificate

Obtain your full copy of your own Birth Certificate this certificate should provide the following information about yourself.

It should haveyour fathers full name,age and birthplace and also his occupation at the time of your birth. Your mothers maiden name ,age and birthplace the date and placeof your parnts marriage.

To commence your family pedigree you have to simplely record by keeping yor fahers family on the left and your mothersfamily on the right side of the page.

Do not atempt at first to record all childerns of the marriage .You should concentrate on your direct line. You can make additions later on to enlarged your family chart.

Step 2 Your Parents - Marriage Certificate.

Obtain full copy of your parents mariage certificate that would let you know the date and place of the marriage.

The marriage certificate should show the full names of both yor parents thier ages and birthplaces. The names of your two grand fathers and thier occupation at the time of your parents marriage. Also the maiden names of your two grand mhers you should check the ages and birth places against those shown on your birth certificate and you should tack note o the names and witnesses to the marriage then you can add the next generation to your family pedigee keeping even spacing between the generations and between the four families.
