Savji Red Chilli Chicken In Linseed Oil
1 Chicken cut into medium pieces
For the marinate.
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp Linseed oil
½ tsp garam masala
2 bay leaves
salt to taste
Apply the above ingredients to the chicken and keep aside for at least 4 – 5 hrs..
Keep aside.
Ingredients
2 medium sized onions (finely chopped)
1 tsp garam masala
1 ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
½ tspn turmeric powder
5 tspns red chilli powder
1 bunch mint and coriander chopped finely
3 tbspn linseed oil for frying
Method
In the linseed oil fry the onions and bay leaves, and fry the onions golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a few minutes till some oil comes up. Put in ginger and green chili paste, mint and coriander leaves and fry for a few minutes. Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Add garam masala and chicken, and cook till the chicken is done. Serve hot with any roti or bread of your choice.

I was always told that flax oil should never be used for cooking because cooking breaks down the lignans. But then again, maybe you don't care. :) This recipe looks really good. I have to wait quite a while before I can eat real people food. :)
Does anybody know how to add red chili to the inside of a broasted chicken?
