You can now welcome the onset of summer without being ashamed of unwanted hair on your body, face or even the uneven eyebrows. There cannot be one universal method of unwanted hair removal for everyone. The appropriate method for each skin type and level of sensitivity has to be taken into account before any one method is chosen. It is also recommended that when using any product recommended, it be subject to a sensitivity test, to avoid subsequent allergies, scars or permanent damage to the skin. Before opting for an expensive product, it is better that you consult a dermatologist to avoid subsequent heartbreaks.

Shaving has been a method of choice for a very long time. It is the quickest and easiest method for removal of unwanted hair. The downside is that hair tends to grow back faster, and depending on your skin type, may even grow to be harder and stiffer than before. If however you choose this option, doctors advise that you use a good shaving cream instead of toilet soap, as the latter dries the skin. Massaging the shaved area with olive oil or baby oil will leave your skin smooth and glowing.

Yet another popular method among those blessed with less hair has been bleaching the hair. The downside to this method is that repeated use of the bleaching agent may cause discoloration of the skin for some skin types.

For some time now, depilatory creams have been in use, primarily to remove unwanted hair from the bikini line and the belly. The user of these creams has to be extremely careful. Follow the instructions given regarding the time required to leave the cream on the body before washing it off. If instructions are followed, the hair gets washed away after the specified time. Effectiveness of this method however varies from person to person depending on the skin type.

Waxing is another good method for the removal of unwanted hair. Particularly effective for the hair under the arms and on legs, depending on your choice, you can have either hot or cold wax applied. On being removed, the wax will remove the unwanted hair along with it. It could be painful but the effect lasts longer than when shaved, leading to less frequent treatments.

A much favored method to remove unwanted hair to style eyebrows is tweezing. Some can do this at home by themselves, rather than visit a salon, and while initially painful, one can get used to it over time. This is however good only for small areas.

Exposing oneself to minute electric shocks through needles and plucking them subsequently through electrolysis is another popular method. The process is rather painful and its effectiveness varied, it is still considered a good method for the removal of unwanted hair. For removal of hair from very large areas, you may have to undergo several sessions. . The latest in the line of methods is the laser hair removal treatment. This has to be undertaken by expert professionals. In this method, the hair follicle and root is burnt beyond repair. This is the most widely used method for permanent hair reduction today. It is quick, reasonably safe and needs few sittings.

There is no mystery to it. Unwanted hair removal in its many forms has been explained above. Just choose one that would be ideal for your skin type and opt for it. You too can wear bikinis and sun yourself on the beach without embarrassment.
