The October 18, 2009 Pravda online article, America Moving from Kingdom of Cash to Socialism Slowly but Surely, tells us something. Not sure what though. I know what it says but I don’t know why it was written. I hope the story isn’t remotely true but I fear it is true. I love my capitalism.
Is Pravda telling us this in an attempt to lure America into full socialism? Is this merely the result of an academic discussion? Or, does the online service have inside knowledge of the goings-on in the Obama administration?
The latter is not a conspiracy theory for I’m acting alone. Although, I don’t mind suggesting that it is a possibility to consider with the Obama administration. I say this because of our experience with the administration during the nine months since the messiah became our acting-president.
(To tell you the truth, I wonder how many of those academic documents Mr. Obama hasn’t shared with us praise the merits of socialism and communism. I have an inquiring mind that is never surprised.)
I quickly add, however, Pravda seems correct with one exception. The move from the kingdom of cash to socialism isn’t slowly but it is surely.
Summarizing the article, Pravda tell us:
- America’s belief that the rest of the world needs to adopt or be forced into capitalism was not accepted.
- America has lost its position as boss of the world and now values friendship more than money and power.
- Since billions of people are not willing to live in the kingdom of hard cash, Americans have decided that it would be better off leaving the kingdom.
- Obama’s decision not to build the Missile Defense System in Poland and the Czech Republic suggest America has a need for more friends around the world.
- Now the USA is talking about introducing elements of socialism.
The messiah’s first nine months
What else can a reasonable person conclude? Debt piled upon debt in order to bailout companies that should have been left to sort out their financial problems and recover on their own. More debt so our government can make certain every American has health insurance, something each American should do alone either through employer plans or by personal purchasing. I speak with credibility, because of a family member's ten-year illness, when I say those without health insurance will not be turned away by hospital emergency rooms. Still, it looks like we will be a victim of mandated health insurance of some kind.
Cap and trade (if enacted) and the stimulus are costly as well but they will probably go a long way toward world friendship. (Grin)
These are just a couple of examples and they strongly suggest more will come.
Perhaps our acting-president’s purpose for delaying the Afghanistan troop level decision is for world friendship. After all, killing people, even the enemy, isn’t friendly. Disregard the fact that killing off the Taliban and Al-Qaeda is a worthy project for achieving peace.
What’s coming?
So, even though I don’t know the motivation contributing to the Pravda online assertion, I believe socialization of the United States will come about if we aren’t good stewards of what our predecessors left for us during the past 235 years or so. And, the frightening element for me is that the socialization of the United States will happen because the majority of us might want it to happen.
We elected Mr. Obama who is hell-bent on socializing the country by distributing the wealth. With help from our democratic controlled congress, it can easily happen. And, the tax code has been working in his favor for years.
Thank you, Pravda online, for telling us we have to go along to get along. We'll see about that!
