Do you believe in Ghosts
67
I didnt believe in ghosts earlier. But the encounter that i had changed my perception forever. Only me and couple of my friends are the witness to it. People say there are no ghosts, i tend to disagree. Many people have proved it, but many so called experts say that the video is not that clear or sound is not clear we cant be sure , i say come on ghosts will not come to the studio to give an interview. Tales about ghosts have been going around since centuries, there must be some truth about it. I am trying to write my personal encounter.
Its the story of the time when i last went for vacation in himachal pradesh {its a state in the north of india}, my native place. There is a temple there of kaali maata in my village at the top of the mountain. Though it is a temple yet no one is allowed to visit it. Me and my friends were very curious to visit it, as since childhood we were hearing things about that temple, but we were never allowed to visit it. So we decided that this time we are positively going to visit it. Nobody had ever seen anyone in that temple, everyone use to say that the temple used to be home of the devil worshippers, who where killed by the residents of the village because many human body parts were found there. Since then it was closed. They say that they still live there, as undead. Thats why no one was allowed there.
So we decided that we will visit the temple in the daylight as it was a really steep hill. We were very scared . So we decided to take some things with us, like the holy book , just in case. We started climbing the hill and everyone of us was very excited. When the temple came near, we all started to shiver a bit. I started to think whether it was a good idea. One of my friend asked me what if its true and what are we going to do if we found something or 'something finds us' . This question made us all very scared but we all turned it down in a laugh. When we reached the temple it was almost four p.m , we all were very hungry so we had our snacks that we carried with us.
After a little while we decided to explore the temple , it looked very normal though old. There was no noise rather a pin drop silence. We could even hear each others breath. We entered the temple and starting exploring the different rooms. Every room was very cold and silent, after a while we all stared at each other and started laughing as we didnt find any thing out there. After some time we got little confident and started playing music. Suddenly we all heard some noise like a recitation or a chant . We were scared like hell. We didnt see anything we just ran like hell. While we were running down the hill there were small stones that were being thrown at us, they were like pebbles, i didnt understand that who was throwing the stones at us because no one was there in the temple. And the chanting got more louder, i was scared like hell we all forgot that we had carried the holy book with us, so may be we could read something out of it to stop all this. We just kept running , without looking back we just kept running, the stone shower was continous . At last we reached the village, we went to my house and did'nt said a word to any one . The next morning one of my friend suffered a very high fever and he just wouldnt talk even if we insisted on talking . We called the doctor and he gave some medicines . But the fever just refused to go. My grandfather asked us if there was anything that we want to tell him. We all decided to tell him. Actually i thought on hearing this he will be really angry, but instead he was very worried specially when he heard that stones were thrown at us. He immediately called the priest of the village temple and told him every thing, the priest came to us and asked if we got hit by any stone, we said no because all the stones were missing us. Then the priest said that we were lucky that no stone hit us. But our friend wasnt that lucky, the stone did hit him, and thats why he was having a high fever. The priest told us that its very difficult to bring him to normalcy as only his father who was dead knew the chants to bring him back. But he decided to give it a try , he just kept praying for five straight days. Finally my friend was better, but the priest told us that he might be better but would never be totally cured . We felt so guilty and sort of thankful to god that we were saved. My grandfather then strictly told us to stay away from the temple.
I have to admit that i didnt see any ghost in the temple , but yes i heard the chants which were very scary. I still thank god that i didnt get hit by the stone.
I have seen many horror movies, every year there are so many releases but maximum of them are just not scary enough. When i was in school i watched 'evil dead' I loved the movie, i still watch it sometimes. I consider it as a classic. 'Dracula' is also one of my favourates, specially the black and white one. ' Nightmare on elm street ' is also a great movie but i think they stretched it too far by making too many sequels. One movie i didnt understand, i think it was a whacky movie 'basket case'. Although i liked it. Grudge is also a great movie . And ofcourse SAW movies are really good , but i really think that the movie makers stretch it too far by making sequels . I hope they keep making some good horror movies .

Ghost I'm not sure yet if I believe but I think I do. I sometimes think our house is haunted. Two people died here the lady of the house died in our kitchen, the man of the house died in the yard. The daughter died shortly after we moved in here. She was 40 died from a heart attack. They are all three buried just a walking distance from our house.
My husband and his friend were hunting early one morning. They hunted near an old homestead. As they were going down the road a white misty figure crossed in front of them it looked like a human form, floating just above the ground. My husband said to his friend "Did you see that?" His friend said "Yes, let's get out of here." They did and never went back to that spot. They knew what they saw was strange and scary.

I definitely believe in ghosts as I have encountered one myself.Once when I was at schol with my friends,we decided to go to the library. The path was narrow and almost deserted. Then this little girl said 'hi' to me.I turned to my friend and asked,'why did the girl said 'hi' to me?'My friends looked puzzled and claimed that they did not see or hear anything.I was too puzzled but when I turned back, the little girl was gone.
Enjoyed your hub.Tell me if you have any more hubs that contain ghosts.
Thank you for sharing your story. Wow, that was amazing! I am a believer in ghosts and spirits. I've had my own experiences, but nothing as dramatic as yours.
Your story is excellent and it seems true because I am an Indian living in Delhi and know about these things. According to me, ghosts do not like highly populated areas and they live in areas which are lonely like they are afraid of humans.
There are ghost, the ghost of fallen angels are allowed to roam the earth until judgment day ,they hate the Grace of God and cannot come near it,however human ghost are not granted freedom to roam the earth ,human ghost must rest in peace and know nothing until judgment day,Occasionally stronger fallen angel's ghost or demonic ghost impersonate people that have died and some even claim to be gods, they are expert deceivers!when the Grace of God is not present in a place or around people, the ghosts make their move!
