Canadian researchers find a simple cure for cancer, but major pharmaceutical companies are not interested. This is an update from my earlier story, read the full article here. And this video explains how dichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic disorders and commonly available can be used to treat all types of cancers. Glenn Beck interviews the Doctor behind this study. This is another story Michael Moore talks about in Sicko where big Pharmaceutical companies ignore these drugs for big profits.

I'm glad you posted this. I missed your first hub on it. A fascinating development, and yes, naturally one that pharma companies are not going to promote.

It is getting worse, the politicians are like servants to pharmaceutical companies than the voters. We elect them and they turn back and hurt us bad. I hope in this elections we elect people who will help the public.

I found this hub very interesting but also very sad , to think they are putting profits before human life .

Thanks Mandm and Sindicut, unfortunatelty the medical care relies on Pharmaceuticals and Insurance, all they care about is profit finding cures is the last thing they are worried about. They want to maximize profit. It is getting worse with Goverments supporting them also.

Honestly, who knows how many "cures" are out there? Unfortunately, cures don't create profit as much as "treatments" do. Nice Hub.

Stacie, you said it right, the doctors take a Hippocratic oath where they insist cure is paramount, but since insurance and pharmaceutical companies have come in they just don't care about that any more. But I am sure there are cures out there. Even the drugs they are producing has so much side effects.

Excellent hub. I hope more people find out about this and become aware of the corruption involving politicians and pharmaceutical companies.

I am a fan of the writer, John Grisham and he wrote a novel called 'The King Of Torts' excellent book about the very subject. Commerce is going to kill us.

Yes, probably the first word has transformed into a second one with a modern definition. Sad.
