ScoobyDoo Where Are You? The Mystery Begins

The cries and fearful wails of shaggy as he carefully navigated a hall of mirrors or an old house in search of his dog, scoobydoo, are a clear memory of y childhood.

The recent movie version of the TV show is interesting as it maintains the atmosphere of the original whilst moving the production into the realms of live action combined with computer animation. The film is successful in its attempt and I'm looking forward to seeing the prequel "Scooby Doo - The Mystery Begins"

Scooby Doo Movie :The Mystery Begins

This is the story of how shaggy, scooby, fred, and velma met each other at school and the plot revolves around the appearance of ghosts at the school they all attend. There are several standad set piece scenes and many of the lines are nods to the parts of the script which are repeated ad nauseum in the original tv series.

Shaggy is portrayed as a bumbling dunce who is accident prone rather than the stoner references of the original series.

All in all I enjoyed the 90 minutes I spent watching this movie and will be passing it along to my six year old nephew in due course.
