Scott Baio is...45 and Single Episode 2
56Episode 2 of Scott Baio is... 45 and Single picks up in week three of his Life Coach imposed eight-week celibacy. Scott journeys to a comedy club to confront former girlfriend Julie McCullogh (Growing Pains) whose entire comedy act centers on his infidelities and youthful cheap nature. I believe the formal title she bestowed on him was "Cheapy-Cheater-Chachi." We find that even at the age of forty-two, Julie is a woman scorned. At one point her jokes actually drive him from the room. In his venture to learn why his relationship with Julie did not work, Scott learns that her anger and discontent with him is related to him being involved with two other women at the same time. He in turn apologizes to her as his Life Coach sent him to do and Scott acknowledges that it was a good step to take. They part with a hug and Julie's promise that she will still keep him in her comedy act.
Following his visit with Julie, Scott decides he needs an escape and agrees to leave town with buddy Johnny V. After spending a night on the town, he next goes to a hotel with Johnny V where four other women are invited to have a good time. When Scott, learns of their ages, he is not impressed in the least citing the fact that he might actually own clothes older than they are. Scott seeks his bed, choosing to sleep alone rather than partake in the party that Johnny V has arranged for them both. Once Scott bows out, the women disappear and Johnny V is forced to do without the young girls.
As Scott stated in Episode 1, Johnny V obviously cannot get a woman without his celebrity as an enticement. As a result, he apparently leads Scott into these scenarios such as the one shown this week in order to get women. It amazes me that even Johnny V could still want to continue with such a lifestyle. It looks exhausting and after so many years, I would think one could grow bored with it. Thank goodness that even Scott Baio recognized the all too familiar situation that Johnny had set up was not worth him breaking his celibacy or deviating from the path his Life Coach has set forth for him.
