Our winter friends in Florida love peanut butter pie. A restaurant near us had delicious peanut butter pie so occasionally I'd splurge and buy a whole pie from the restaurant, but they charged me $10 which I thought was pretty steep.

Two years ago I attended my family reunion while we were back in Pennsylvania for the summer. My cousin's daughter, Amy, brought this pie to share and I was hooked. I'm sharing this recipe with you in hopes you'll like it too.

SCRUMPTIOUS PEANUT BUTTER PIE

1- 8 ounce package of cream cheese

1 cup of confectioners sugar

1 cup of smooth peanut butter

1/3 cup of milk

1- 8 ounce container of Cool Whip

1 graham cracker crust ( Oreo cookie crust is good too)

Put all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until it's well blended and creamy. Pour into the pie shell. Top with shavings from a chocolate bar or peanut butter cup ( crumble an Oreo cookie on top if you're using a chocolate pie shell). Chill in the refrigerator for one hour before serving.

This pie freezes well so I like to keep them on hand for that unexpected company.
