Dive Tampa

The area is filled with wrecks, reefs and natural bottom structures that provide plenty of opportunities for some great scuba diving.

Popular dive spots in the Tampa Bay, Florida area:

Pinellas 2 Reef:
N27° 52.300´ W83° 11.240´

This reef has an area that is usually marked with a large round ball buoy. This dive site area is also home to the Blackthorn and the Sheridan wrecks. The Blackthorn wreck is lying upside down and is broken into two parts. The Sheridan wreck reef is lying right-side up and is intact. It is one of the best wrecks in the area. You can dive into see the sections of the ship. It is resting in approx. 75-80 feet of water and the top of the wreck is at 25-30 feet. Many fishes and marine life make their home here including, goliath groupers, amberjacks, barracuda and many other reef fish.

Tugboat and Barge:
A large 105-foot tugboat that was towing an 80-foot barge when it sank in high seas. The tug rests upside down in approximately 85 feet of water.

N28° 14.446´ W83° 20.632´

Rube Allyn Reef:
N27° 55.600´ W83° 01.400´
