In the controversial eBook "Search Engine Myths Exposed!", Jonathan Leger goes completely against the grain of "traditional thinking about search engines -- particularly Google. He explains his philosophy on how search engines r e a l l y work based on his tried & tested theories & methods.

Leger brings up a lot of interesting points that can definitely cause you to gain a different perspective about the information that has been fed to us about search engines for so long.

A few key things that he discusses in his eBook that stand out in my mind are...

  • Duplicate Content - It has been said that Google will penalize you -or will not rank your site due to duplicate content! Well Leger goes undercover in efforts to abolish this so-called "myth" He supports his findings with detailed examples.

  • Back links - Getting back-links from ‘related theme' sites in order to rank well is not necessarily true according to Leger. He lays out multiple case studies using several of his own websites as guinea pigs to argue this point.

  • Page Rank - You would think that high page rank automatically meant that you're guaranteed to rank good/best in Google. But that may not always be the case. Leger demonstrates how "underdog" sites can strategically outrank many Larger sites just by implementing a few key strategies.

These are just a few "Myths" that Jonathan Leger discusses in-depth in his "Search Engine Myths Exposed!" eBook.

The best thing that I liked about his writing style in this particular work is that whether you agree or disagree completely with Jonathan Ledger's philosophy...you have to respect it. Why? Because he makes sure to back every Myth he aims to abolish with facts. Cold hard facts - through detailed research - not just personal opinion. His points-of-view are things that really make you go "hmmm..."

"Search Engine Myths Exposed!" rightfully owns up to its title. It definitely gave me a fresh new perspective concerning the ALMIGHTY SEARCH ENGINES. They seem farrr less intimidating now:)

I'm still taking it all in...and I'm not saying that I agree 100% with Jonathan Leger's search engine philosophy. But because of his easy-to-follow presentation -- jam-packed with thought provoking facts that obviously demonstrates that he did his homework, thoroughly, before even attempting to write a controversial eBook such as this...

I'll have to give him a (5) on my eBook rating! (and this doesn't happen too often).

*My eBook Ratings System:

1. (Poor)- Not worth the paper, or in this situation the epaper it's written on. An ebook has to be pretty bad to get this rating from me.

2. (Fair) - It's ok, could do with or without it.

3. (Good) - Now we're getting somewhere... This one has potential and some useful benefits. You may have to search for them though.

4. (Very Good) - Highly recommended. Very good content and useful benefits & recommendations. Great read! (could stand some improvement in a few minor areas)

5. (Excellent) - Highly Recommended! This is a unique and rare work of art. I wouldn't suggest that the author changes a single thing. I'm pretty tough so very few if any ebooks will probably land in this category. It had better be absolutely flawless or dearn close ;-)
