You should know at least basic HTML coding. I will show you basic steps how to optimize you web page. This lesson is call Search Engine Optimization.

Search Engine Optimization uses the following basic HTML tags:

• Title Tag
• H1 Tag
• Bold Tag
• Italics Tag
• Underline Tag
• Image Alternative Text tag
• Keyword Density

Once you have this information, you’ll have a tremendous head start on optimization and outranking your competition in the search engines.

First, make sure you have your keyword that you want to rank high on search engines first page. In this lesson, our main keyword is "How To Lose Weight Fast". I am going to show you how to put keyword in the title tag (i.e. <title>How To Lose Weight Fast</title>).

Second, I am going to put keyword in the H1 tag (i.e. <h1>How To Lose Weight Fast</h1>).

Third, I am going to bold my keyword (i.e. <b>How To Lose Weight Fast</b>).

Fourth, I am going to italic my keyword (i.e. <i>How To Lose Weight Fast</i>).

Fifth, I am going to underline my keyword (i.e. <u>How To Lose Weight Fast</u>).

Sixth, I will use image alternate text tag for images on my web page (i.e. <img border="0" src="images/how-to-lose-weight-fast.gif" width="327" height="66" alt="How To Lose Weight Fast">).

Last, For keyword density I would like to spread my main keyword throughout my web page between 3% to 5% maximum.

It is very basic and simple to do, but it is very importance that you do this on all of your web pages. I hope it helps you for your Search Engine Optimization.
