With the release of SEO Press Formula less than a week away, I decided to share a quick bit of information that will help you power your Wordpress pages to the top of the search engines.

As most of you know in order to get your Wordpress page on the 1st page of search engines, you need to have high authority backlinks. Backlinks are what give your site what I like to call "Juice". Although there are other factors involved in search engine ranking, backlinks are the corner stone of how you'll rank.

So here are a few tips to help you get some great backlinks that will get your site moving.

1. Write articles that point directly to your Wordpress blog in the resource box. Article directories like Ezinearticles, GoArticles, Articledashboard and Article Alley all have good PR rankings. Although each differs in the amount of links they allow and where, you can still use your resource box to point directly to your word press page.

2. Create MySpace and FaceBook pages and have them link directly to your blog. There are a few Social Networking sites that have PR rankings of 8. Set up accounts on each of these sites and have pages that are specifically for your niche.

Try and find others within the social networks who are also involved with your niche and build a relationship with them. Trade links on pages that are related to your blog along with posting on pages and having your blog listed in your profile.

3. Forum linking is a simple, yet somewhat time consuming link builder. The idea is to go to forums related to your niche and post comments or ask questions. THIS DOES NOT MEAN TO SPAM! Ask meaningful questions and give helpful comments when you can, Before you know it you'll have built up a tone of backlinks to your Wordpress site.
