Free Criminal Records
54The best place to start your free criminal records search is debatable,
but I prefer the Gov. Records site.. It's not free, but it will saving you
dozens of hours trying to figure this stuff out (they are also not affiliated with the government.). I've been doing this
for many years and its all come down to that one site. I probably get
up to 10 free criminal records from them per week. I've been a
personal private investigator for a number of years. After going into
the PI business for my self I've been able to test out many of the
services that claim free criminal records.
To be blunt, there is no such thing as free. That's an old saying that is
still proving its wisdom to this day. This is the first thing you need
to know and understand. I've been writing a lot of content regarding
these searches lately. People always seem to email me with information
regarding this, so I figured I'd make a hub and get this out there once
and for all. The only kind of free criminal record searches you can do are on social
networks (and thats a good place to start).
So the second thing I want you to leverage is; social networks. If you
are conducting a criminal record search for a future employee, the
social network he is apart of can tell you multitudes. The best thing
is..it costs a big fat ZERO!
In most of the cases I work with you can get a feel for the person (and whether he may have a criminal history) by reading the things he posts on sites like myspace and facebook. Like attracts like. If he talks about drugs and binge drinking constantly, its a good indicator of some form of criminal history. Of course not everyone with a profile like that has a history, but like I said its a good indicator. More often or not they will have a record. What should we call this...social network profiling? lol.
Check the profiles of the people he's friends with as well.
In all honesty I start digging for information on myspace or facebook
first. Once I have a good amount of information I move on to a paid
service. Its great because some people post their birthdays, addresses,
phone numbers, previous cities, etc. Seriously, don't underestimate
the power of this.
I'm going to end this article here. If you need to do a free criminal
records search than you will most definately pay for it (usually uner
$30). If you don't have the money for this than start with social
netoworks. Make a fake profile and iniate conversation if you have to.
This may seem shady, but remember this information is coming from
someone who relys on "being shady" for a living. I don't know any other
private investigators who actually tell the person what they're doing.
haha.
Good luck on your
search for free criminal records. If you found this hub useful in some
way than please rate. I'm kind of new at this.
