The Healthy Hedon is at Belmont and Olive Way on Capitol Hill. They have a great Sunday brunch buffet. Their food is always interesting: sometimes they do plain tofu and veg, sometimes they veer into creative fake meat. I've always walked out of there satisfied.

The Cafe on 15th, Capitol Hill. They make vegan sandwiches and burgers, and the Macaroni and Yease is awesome. They also offer healthy smoothies.

Teapot Vegetarian House on 15th is Chinese and Asian food. They do the meat substitutes. Aside from their fake fish, it's actually pretty convincing, and all really good.

The Sunlight Cafe on Roosevelt (across from the Whole Foods) is great. They have a lot of different kinds of foods, so you can get something completely different each time you go. They offer baked goodies, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One friend told me that "The Sunlight Cafe has food that I feel like I could make at home, very hearty vegetarian fare."

Cedars in U-District! Serves amazng Indian and Mediterranean fare. Do try the fluffy nans that come with fingerlicking good chutneys, and get the Paneer Butter Masala / Paneer Tikka Masala. Plus great chai.
