Barca is the place to go if you want to feel posh and trendy, in a hip, alternative sort of way. The decor is great: velvet, leopard print, heavy curtains, huge rugs. There are dark alcoves you can disappear into, a tiled bar, and tons of mingling space.

This isn't a bar I tend to go to often, but it is fun for a special occasion. Generally, I go when a friend has gotten a group together and chooses Barca as the destination for the night.

The bathroom is the highlight of the place because I remember it as cleaner than other bars (of course, this could show the power of their well mixed drinks). If you are a bit conservative, you might want to avoid Barca because chances are, you'll be offered a line in the bathroom--or see someone else partaking. Now, I'm no Lindsay Lohan, but I don't get my panties in a ruffle when I see such shenanigans in the bathroom.

If you want a fun night on the town, I definitely recommend Barca as a stop on your barhopping tour.
