Second Breath
58Torn down by the living,
And greeted above by the dead,
I'm laying in stillness,
Trying to stall my fate.
My resistance is breaking,
And my eyes are heavy as stone,
My forehead is sweating,
And my hands turned into frozen bones,
While the body is shaking,
And deciding upon final fall,
My last will is still living,
But, sadly, I must choose to let go.
Time is collapsing
And matter is fading away
My eyes are fully closing,
But the light is shinning brighter than day
All of my organs are steady
It looks as thought I'm finally gone
But to my senseless amazement,
I'm more alive then I were ever before!
Now that my body is past me,
And time is no longer my wall,
I'm finally ready,
To move on and reunite with my soul.
