About Club Penguin Card Jitsu
The card-jitsu game was introduced in Club Penguin in November, 2008. It allows you to advance levels and earn belts on your way to getting a black belt and becoming a Club Penguin Ninja. The game works like rock-paper-scissors but with cards. There is a lot of luck involved but also some important strategy and hopefully this guide will help you become a better Card-Jitsu player.
Card-Jitsu Basics
Card Jitsu is played by two players who each play one card. The important thing to remember is that:
- Fire beats Snow
- Water beats Fire
- Snow beats Water
Usually a higher number card beats a lower number card when players play the same type of card. The one exception is in a round following when someone plays a special card that reverses the order for the next round. Then, lower numbers beat higher numbers.
There are also some other special cards that players can have that effect the game. These cards are only available as unlockable items for people who have purchased actual trading cards for Club Penguin in the store or online.
Getting Started
To start playing Card-Jitsu, go visit the sensei in the Dojo. Click on the dojo on your map then go inside and walk over to the sensei in the upper-right corner. He will ask if you want to play. Say yes and then choose Competition Mode because this mode will get you the most points towards earning belts. The more matches you win the more belts you will earn.
Be patient because you will need to win a lot of matches to get to black belt. It can take a long time and you will need to win more than a 100 matches to get there.

Tracking Progress
Club Penguin updated the Card-Jitsu game in May, 2009 with a feature that lets you track your progress in the game. Click on the blue card icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to see a screen that shows how far you have progressed to the next belt. You can also view all the cards you have in your collection.

Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Series 2
Series 2 of the Club Penguin Card-Jitsu game recently became available in stores and online. The game is played the same way but the card packs are different. There are also now special cards called Golden cards that you have a small chance of finding in one of the card packs that you buy. If you find one, you can use it to skip an entire belt level in the game. It's a great way to quickly move from brown belt to black belt!
Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Fire
Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Fire is a new expansion to the Card-Jitsu game that just came out. There will be a new card deck available in stores and a new members-only game on Club Penguin that takes place in a new room called the Fire Dojo. This room is inside the Volcano that recently appeared on Club Penguin. You'll need a ninja amulet from the martial artworks catalog to get inside.
The game plays a lot differently than the original Card-Jitsu.
If you want to go to the Fire Dojo, first go into the secret ninja hideout and then click on the little stone door inside on the left of the stairs. A huge door will appear on the left side of the room and once it's there you can walk through it. One the other side is the Fire Dojo.
To start playing the game, you must walk up to Sensei in the back of the room. On the first time you talk with him, you'll get some additional Card-Jitsu cards in your deck. These are added to your current collection of cards. You can also add special cards when you purchase packs of Card-Jitsu cards at the store or at Amazon.com or other online stores.
The new Card-Jitsu Fire game plays differently than the original. A major change is that up to four players play at the same time. Many of the rules and procedures in the game have changed as well. You begin playing with 6 energy points. The basic goal is to be the final player left with energy. The way that the game works is that each player takes a turn. On your turn, you click on the highlighted ring of stones in the lava. They spin to reveal a number. You can then move that number of spaces either to the left or the right. The space you land on determines the kind of round that is played. If you select a fire, snow or water place then a basic round is played where each player puts down a card. Whoever has the highest card of that type wins. The winner keeps all of his current energy points and all other players lose one. There are also wildcard spaces. When you land on one, you get to choose which kind of round to play fire, water or snow. And there are also special Card-Jitsu spaces. If you land on one of these, you choose any player to challenge in a normal round of Card-Jitsu. If you land on a space with another player already on it, you automatically play them in a single round of Card-Jitsu. The winner of a Card-Jitsu round gets to add a point to his total score while the loser of the round loses a point.
The game is over and a winner is declared when everyone else loses all their energy points. After the game ends, you earn some progress towards earning the very cool Fire Suit. The amount of progress towards each piece of the suit depends on what place you got in the game and how many people were playing. The full suit has four items in it, beginning with the flame sandals. It's pretty easy to earn the first piece, but the remaining pieces are much harder to earn. Finally, when you get all the pieces of the suit, you can challenge Sensei to a round of Card-Jitsu Fire and attempt to win a special jewel that goes inside your amulet.

To get power cards youmust buy a card jitsu pack from toys r us and you will be given a card with a code on the back. now I can laugh at the sensei while i watch ninjas scaring the living daylights out of him!!!

guys heres one strategy: ok so say the other penguin has 1 fire 1 snow then they will go for water and u pick snow to freeze and also u can use reverse reverse phycology as in the opponent knows u are gonna try to freeze them they will pick fire and u pick water than u win i no its pretty complicated but thats how i win most of my card jitsu games

we have got from orange belt to ninja in under 24 hrs!!! wahoo!!! you have to win so many times to move up to the next belt, i googled "earning cards in card jitsu club penguin", went on the 2nd one down and it says how many times you need to win to move to the next belt. Didnt realise this til after we had become ninja mind you!, as we were also tryin to find out how to get more cards! which now it seems the answer is to buying cards in real life and using a code on them! shall do this soon i think!!! happy card playing!!!

th only way to get more cards is to go to toys "r" us and buy a pack, on the back of the cards theres a code, enter that code on club penguin and you'll get thoose cards.
some cards do certian things like -2 which means they lose to points off there cards e.g. water 4,,,, water 2, some make sure you cant use a certain element e.g. snow.

And a stratigy I made worked for a while until I started playing club penguin again like a day ago and now it wont work. Before I learnt this fromw atching the sensi accually. Log on to club penguin and type in your username and password and click unlock items and click i have a book and click the RockHopper book and when they ask you what word is on page 25 type in Yarr and you should end up getting one thousand coins and a blue book.
