Sedu hair straighteners have to be one of the hottest beauty and hair care products released in the last couple of years. Celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Hilary Duff and Jennifer Aniston have all been caught sedu'ing their hair.

But Sedu hair straighteners are not just for celebrities. Every day, thousands and thousands of ordinary women (and a few men) search for sedu hair products online. That flat sleek look will just never go out of style is seems.

What is so special about the sedu flat irons anyway?

Well, for starters, they use a special ceramic called tourmaline. This special stone can actually release negative ions when heated. This is important because it is thought that these negative ions prevent hair from being damaged by the heat. The real benefit is that ceramic flat irons can straighten hair in less time. For a sedu hair straightener, it can often flatten your hair in half the time of other regular straighteners.

Enough science, what about me!

Many women want to know if a sedu flat iron will work on their particular hair type. The answer is most likely yes, no matter what kind of hair you have, a sedu will work. The reason is because unlike cheaper hair straighteners, the sedu has a variable temperature control. It will work with fragile, thin, normal, wavy and even course hair.

What makes the Sedu so popular?

I did some digging last year to research the Sedu hair iron before I bought one. Specifically, I wanted to read the complaints over at Folica.com with regards to Sedu. Well, I was quite astonished to discover there were very few negative reviews. A couple of complaints that I recall ranged from getting better results at a salon (for more money of course), one person had expected smoother hair and another lady had complained of dry hair (but she possibly did not use a leave in conditioner). The last time I checked, the 1" Sedu hair straightener was ranked 4.70 out of 5 and there were 2,987 votes.

Where do you get a sedu hair straightener?

That's the big question. Actually, you can pick up a Sedu from your local salon if they carry it. Additionally, if you want to save a few dollars, you can also pick one up from Folica.com as they are the only web store authorized to sell Sedu. A word of caution. If you thought about getting one from eBay, think twice because Sedu will not warranty any of their products if they are not purchased from an authorized Sedu dealer.
