Seek ye the promise

M't:6:33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I love the way the King James bible uses the old English, which has a flavour like no other bible.

The intention is to give us the meat we look for because we believe in Jesus Christ, and not just what we know about the Bible, or perceive to know.

Is there something more to,the words we see and read. Well we can always refer to the scriptures and see what they say with the Holy Spirit, and this "see" I am referring to is what the Soul has begun to recognise as truth . What we do with what our "Souls" "sees" and understands is what is regarded as " faith of Christ"

Ph'p:3:9: And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Ga:2:16: Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Jesus did operate and still does as God on the earth just the same way he did in Genesis

Ge:1:3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The key to the authority he has, is tied up in his "WORD"..

Joh:1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh:1:2: The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh:1:3: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh:1:4: In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Heb:11:3: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The use of words is what God did, his words are the carrier of all things, his words contain the exact completion of his desires, God never ever said I think I want this or that. He was/definite in his professing. Jesus had confidence in what he said he did not doubt his words. This leads us to being just like him, as Christs.

So lets take a close look at the authority we have as believers.

Jas:1:26: If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

So to extract the key "bridleth not his tongue"... as a horse rider knows a bridle steers the horse exactly where he wants it to go.

Jas:3:5: Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

Jas:3:6: And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Jas:3:8: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison

tongue is a little member....the tongue is a fire.....setteth on fire the course of nature......full of deadly poison.

Jas:3:10: Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

So we see that the tongue can be used to our advantage in life.. "mouth proceedeth blessing" .....

How do we use the mouth as a blessing, seems pretty obvious though, and I am not going to mention speaking positive things either (there is a way that seemed right)...

This World and the Spiritual World is governed by the WORD OF GOD because his WORD is spirit and is the link between both worlds. Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Heb:4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

For us in Christ we have been given authority, by the Spirit of God, and the authority still belongs to God, but we take this authority and use it to rule our lives and this is what we have...in the words of God

quick...powerful......sharper.......piercing.....dividing.....discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

This is where the knowledge of the Word of God should be applied to our lives so that we can be fruitful.

Joh:15:8: Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Joh:15:7: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

M't:12:34: O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

M't:12:35: A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

M't:12:37: For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Joh:15:11: These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

To extract the words highlighted we see the foundation....

bear much fruit.......my words abide in you...ask...shall be done unto you.....speak good things...abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh...good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things....by thy words thou shalt be justified...I spoken unto you....remain in you.... your joy might be full.

So it is important how you pray and when I say pray I dont only mean standing in church saying a meaningless prayer, but saying something that lines up with what Jesus has said

A lot of prayer is just hot air and wishful thinking, with a mouth that totally disagrees with what Jesus has said and done.

The key is to take the very words Jesus has uttered, and start making them your words also, as Jesus said.I am not talking about "Name it and Claim it".....

1Jo:2:24: Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

So it is important that we look at what he means "heard from the beginning"

Ge:1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Ge:1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Ge:1:28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

This is what God had given us from the begining

let them have dominion..... Be fruitful,.......replenish the earth......subdue it....have dominion.....over every living thing......over every creeping thing that creepeth....

Adam was the ruler on the earth and guess who he ruled over...... Satan...and Satan used words called lies to deceive Eve.....hence where cursing comes from.

God has restored this condition to man once again....."our likeness."...... now that we know what "Good and Evil" is and it is The Truth and The Lie.

The authority we have is the WORD and it is not the power of his word but the WORD of His power

Heb:1:3: Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Think of this and meditate on these scriptures how you going to speak like Jesus.

Psalms:119:130: The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

1Pe:1:23: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Even Abraham was considered to be righteous, because he did not doubt in his heart, that that which God had promised, but was fully convinced in his mind that God would do what he promised.

Ro:4:3: For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

So faith is the next key here, and how are we going to walk and talk by faith.

Ro:10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Ro:12:3: For I say,....... according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Heb:10:38: Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

2Co:5:7: For we walk by faith, not by sight:

The key words

entrance...words giveth light....giveth understanding.....faith....hearing..... the word of God.....measure of faith...live by faith.....walk by faith, not by sight

Lu:17:6: And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

M't:17:20:............. for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

So we are getting closer to the reason of being in Christ and operating in faith.

KEY WORDS ARE

faith....say unto......Be thou plucked up by the root,......should obey you.

ye have faith......say ......., Remove hence to yonder place...it shall remove....nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Observe the importance of speaking, " say" to a situation, with the knowledge you have about Jesus

2Co:4:13: We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

2Pe:1:1: Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

2Pe:1:2: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

2Pe:1:3: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

2Pe:1:4: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

KEY WORDS HERE ARE

same spirit of faith....I believed....therefore have I spoken.....obtained like precious faith.....Grace and peace.....multiplied.....through the knowledge of God....hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life..... through the knowledge of him...given unto us exceeding great and precious promises..... by these......be partakers of the divine nature

Spelt out in plane terms we must use the "promises" when we pray and make petitions,

The power of God is his promises to us we are to learn to rely on and stand on these, to be walking in faith.

Ph'p:4:19: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

KEY WORDS

shall......according....riches in glory

Jas:1:21:...... and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Engrafted word shows the manner in which the word changes your thinking, and if you understand "Grafting" you will know it is a growing process as your mind begins to change and rely on the Knowledge of God "of" implying from God.This is the Divine nature begining to operate in you (2Pe:1:4) hence ...be partakers of the divine nature .its a growing process.

So back to the bridle of the horse, we need to tame our tongues, and this is done by confessing the truth, the promises, and use the promises to control our lives. It is also what the Apostles learnt, after they were baptised in the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.

There are thousands of promises, and each one can be used for proclamation, in ones life and situation, and the biggest key is that the raise Jesus up onto the Throne and this is called riches in glory . The more you confess and proclaim the Kingdom of God the more you experience the..."be partakers of the divine nature".

HERE ARE SOME PROMISES

Feel like giving up
2Th:3:3: But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
Heb:10:23: Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
1Pe:1:7: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1Pe:1:8: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
1Pe:1:9: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1Pe:1:10: Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Feeling anger
Ro:12:19: Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Ro:12:20: Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Ro:12:21: Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Eph:4:31: Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Eph:4:32: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Heb:10:30: For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Confused
Jas:3:16: For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Jas:3:17: But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Jas:3:18: And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
1Co:14:33: For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Ph'p:4:6: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Ph'p:4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Depressed
Joh:14:12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Joh:14:13: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh:14:14: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Ro:8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Ro:8:27: And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Ro:8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Ro:8:29: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Ro:8:30: Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Ro:8:31: What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Ro:8:32: He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Ro:8:33: Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Ro:8:34: Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Ro:8:35: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Ro:8:36: As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Ro:8:37: Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Ro:8:38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Ro:8:39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1Pe:4:12: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Pe:4:13: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Discouraged
M'r:10:29: And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
M'r:10:30: But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
M'r:10:31: But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
Ph'p:4:12: I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Ph'p:4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Col:3:23: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Col:3:24: Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Col:3:25: But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Fear
Joh:14:3: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
2Tm:1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Fearful
Ro:8:37: Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Ro:8:38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Ro:8:39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Heb:13:6: So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
1Jo:4:16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1Jo:4:17: Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
1Jo:4:18: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
1Jo:4:19: We love him, because he first loved us.
1Jo:4:20: If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1Jo:4:21: And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Alone
M't:28:20: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Joh:6:37: All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Joh:6:38: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Joh:6:39: And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
Joh:6:40: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
1Pe:5:7: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Guilt
Joh:3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh:3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh:3:19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh:3:20: For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh:3:21: But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Joh:5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Ro:8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Ro:8:2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Hurt
M't:5:10: Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
M't:5:11: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
M't:5:12: Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
M't:6:9: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
M't:6:10: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
M't:6:11: Give us this day our daily bread.
M't:6:12: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
M't:6:13: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
M't:6:14: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
M't:6:15: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
1Pe:2:19: For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
1Pe:2:20: For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
1Pe:2:21: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1Pe:2:22: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1Pe:2:23: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
1Pe:2:24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1Pe:2:25: For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Loneliness
Ro:8:35: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Ro:8:36: As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Ro:8:37: Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Ro:8:39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Heb:13:5: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
1Pe:5:7: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Sick
M't:9:35: And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Jas:5:14: Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas:5:15: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Jas:5:16: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Jas:5:17: Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
Jas:5:18: And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
3Jo:1:2: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

There are many more promises, and what we do with the promises, is our victory and strength. When you read the scriptures analyze what Jesus has done for you, take that and use it for your strength.

Speak the word of God over your lives and take it personally, and enjoy the Fruits, of Partaking of Gods divine nature.

Here are a few examples

Col:3:15: And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful

my confession will be....I let the peace of God rule in my heart, and refuse to worry.

Ph'p:4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

My confession will be...I can do all things through Christ

Psalms:23:1: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalms:23:2: He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psalms:23:3: He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Psalms:23:6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I will confess.....The LORD is my shepherd he lays me down in green pastures                The Lord restores my soul........I fear no evil.........my cup overflows.......goodness and mercy follow me.

Learn how to use our Gods words they are life.

God Bless

Hoo, I have a old Bible from my Parents KJV that was first copyrighted in 1926 but I don't use it. I have a newer KJV study bible that I love. You know sometimes at our Bible study our pastor will ask me to read from my Bible because of how beautiful it sounds. That amazing to me. Hoo my belief has always been that the Bible Belt and this country was built upon the KJV BIBLE. Amen

Mine is a 1959 AKJV Authorised King James Version with a built in concordance and bible helps. Many years ago I bought a Bible Students English-Greek Concordance and Greek-English Dictionary by James Gall that can only be used with the KJV . It gives the edge on being able to understand the original Greek meanings of words used in the KJV.

Its nice being able to chat with someone that has experienced the simpleness of the KJV

Go well

Thank you for your comments. God is a Gentleman in his nature besides all his excellent attributes, he does not consider people higher or lower than each other all have sinned and all fall short. So God will not destinguish people on different platforms of importance, and he wants us to be the same. To discriminate in an extreme sense would be the answer, God does not discriminate. He loves all the same Believer or Non-believer.

Although we that are in him are new creatures and have the indwelling Holy Spirit to move us, and give us the desires of our hearts. We are to see all the same way as he does and not think more highly of others and lowly of others too. But he does want us to care for people and see their disadvantages and to strengthen them in various ways, and this in its act is "no respecter of persons"

Jas:1:27: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

God Bless
